There’s a good chance that you’ve enjoyed one of her works of art without even knowing that she was the creative mind behind it. Chef Deb Pellegrino is the Executive Pastry Chef for Caesars Entertainment in Atlantic City, meaning that if you’ve had a dessert at Caesars, Harrah’s, or Bally’s, you were probably enjoying one of her creations.

Here are a few more things you probably didn’t know about the wonderful Chef Deb and her culinary journey to Atlantic City!


1. She was on the Food Network!

She wasn’t just on the Food Network, but she was the winner on the 2011 Food Network challenge Chocolate Myths. See, there are lots of winners in Atlantic City!


2. She used to work on a yacht

One of her first jobs was as a crew chef on a private yacht where she traveled the world, preparing great dishes for the crew and guests.


3.Even though she’s worked all around the world, she’s local!

Her culinary journey has taken her all over the globe, but her home in Atlantic City is not too far from Ocean City, NJ where she grew up!


4.She got into baking by accident!

While working on the yacht, Chef Deb traded her breakfast shift with the chef responsible for making a birthday cake, and it turns out she had a knack for pastry!


5. She is the brilliant mind behind Boardwalk Cupcakes

This colorful boardwalk shop has it all from alcohol-infused “boozy-cakes” to unicorn funfetti! Plus, they just introduced a new menu, which you can check out here!


6. She makes the amazing cakes at Nero’s Sunday Brunch every week

If you’ve ever seen the incredible cakes at Nero’s Sunday Brunch, you’ve seen a Chef Deb masterpiece, and she makes a new one every week!


7. In fact, she’s responsible for all of the pastries at Caesars, Harrah’s, and Bally’s!
