You know at the very beginning of the party at The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City when that guy takes over the mic and tells you what super celeb is in the building? And then he gets you jumping, gets your blood flowing, gets those hands UP…in the air? Yeah, well that guy is Emcee Ringo and believe it or not, he is the ONLY emcee MC whatever, your choice in Atlantic City. We did not know this. Learn something new every day.

But seriously, his job seems freakin’ awesome, right? Fist pumping all night, every night. Hanging with beautiful people. Living off adrenaline. Well we’re totally nosey and we wanted to know more. So we tracked him down and made him answer our questions. Meet Emcee Ringo, below.

Emcee Ringo

TAC:  How did you become such a popular emcee within Atlantic City nightlife?

Emcee Ringo: I had been emceeing for a long time at various venues throughout the Tri-State area before I was given an opportunity to emcee in Atlantic City. When i saw the chance to make something new, my team and I worked to create a new nightlife experience. This opportunity allowed me to show people a good time in a venue that has become one of the most popular places in Atlantic City.

TAC: What are the best parts about your job?

Emcee Ringo: The most rewarding part of my job is when I’m on stage. Seeing that people are responding to what i do. They like it, and I feed off of it. It makes for a rewarding day at work.

TAC: What is something about your job that people probably wouldn’t know?

Emcee Ringo: The DJ I am working with and the format of music they are going to play helps me figure out how I’m going to approach the mic. You have to know who you are working with and be aware of the crowd. They change every night and you have to adapt to what you feel the crowd likes.

TAC: What goes into preparing for one of your gigs?

Emcee Ringo: I have to mentally prepare myself for any kind of crowd. I go into the gig with an open mind, not knowing how the crowd is going to react. At this point I rely on the DJ I’m working with. We collectively figure out which direction we should go.

TAC: Describe one of your best gigs to date.

Emcee Ringo: Honestly, The Pool After Dark, Lil Jon. He brings energy like no other. We have the same work ethic. Just have a good time.

TAC: What is it like to emcee at the most popular nightclub in Atlantic City, The Pool After Dark?

Emcee Ringo: It is truly the most amazing feeling to know where I came from and where I ended up.

TAC: What is your dream gig?

Emcee Ringo: I live it every week. I couldn’t ask for a better place or manager to work for.

TAC: Where do you see yourself ten years from now?

Emcee Ringo: Ten years from now I hope to still be showing people a good time. I love what I do. I’d love to continue to explore the entertainment industry.

Start your weekend off right tomorrow with Emcee Ringo at Friday Night Live at The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s. Doors open at 10:00 p.m. and pricing starts at $10.
