After Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukah, and New Years all come and go – many people declare an end to the ‘holiday season’. But there is one holiday in January that often goes overlooked – though is one of the most important days. National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is January 9th, a day where citizens across the country should take a moment to appreciate those who have chosen a profession that risks their lives to protect their communities. Organizations nationwide do their part in recognizing local law enforcement on January 9th, and Caesars Entertainment is proud to be one of them.

In celebration of the holiday, Dunkin Donuts at Bally’s Atlantic City and Starbucks at Harrah’s Resort will offer complimentary coffee & donuts to local police, as well fire rescue and first responders. Caesars’ culinary team at Dunkin Donuts has even created signature Atlantic City Police and Atlantic City Fire Department donuts to celebrate the occasion, and all proceeds of these donuts will benefit The 200 Club of Atlantic & Cape May Counties.  Additionally, Caesars and Harrah’s will be lit blue on Wednesday evening in support of the holiday.

Caesars’ HEROs – the company’s employee-based community volunteer group – has recognized this holiday for 3 years, and plans to continue doing so. Furthermore, just this past August Caesars used their Miss America Parade float to honor outstanding females in the local community of Atlantic City, Ventnor, and Longport.  All local and state law enforcement, fire and rescue workers are encouraged to come out and show their I.D. badge this upcoming Wednesday for a complimentary coffee drink and donut of their choice at Dunkin Donuts and a tall coffee and signature cookie at Starbucks at Harrah’s Resort.

You may not often encounter or interact with any law enforcement during your daily routine, but if you happen to bump into one on Wednesday – or any day – be sure to thank them for their service.
