There are small ways that everyone helps the environment everyday. From turning off non-essential lights (like we did for Earth Hour!), to making sure to properly recycle. However, are you able to help save the planet with a drink? Of course you can! The CodeGreen Cocktail challenge is a fun initiative at Caesars Entertainment where our chefs and bartenders were asked to make a unique drink that is made from sustainable sourced local ingredients and served in a cup that is either recyclable or reusable.

Here are a couple of these delicious (and environmentally sustainable) cocktails that you can get at Caesars, Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s Atlantic City:

The Blue Gin Fizz at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill

While it may not look all that blue on the outside, there’s a lot of blue that goes into the CodeGreen cocktail at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill from the Jersey-grown blueberries to the Philadelphia-produced Bluecoat gin. There’s also a fair amount of green in this drink also, with the Jersey-grown mint, fresh squeezed lemon and lime, and the Pennsylvania Dutch vanilla cream soda.

The Market Mule AT Harrah’s Resort

With local cider and Jersey rosemary simple syrup, the Market Mule at Harrah’s is a deliciously sweet cocktail. It also features Absolut vodka, applejack, and Fever Tree ginger beer, then it is topped with a citrus garnish to really sweeten things up!

Hudson Green Tea at Guy’s Chophouse

The Hudson Green Tea from Guy’s Chophouse at Bally’s is a fun, alcohol-infused version of your classic green tea. Using Hudson Baby Bourbon from New York and brewed green tea from Connecticut, you can feel good about the fact that these ingredients are locally sourced, and you can feel even better after you taste it!

Cafe Roma’s Code Green “mocktails”

While Cafe Roma’s contributions to the CodeGreen Cocktail challenge are not alcoholic, they will definitely help you wake up in the morning! The Rise-N-Shine is made with fresh kiwi, pineapple, and kale, and the Power Bomb gives you a kick of beets, carrots, apples, parsley, and ginger. Plus, both of them are served in reusable tulip glasses!

Who ever said that throwing back a few cocktails couldn’t also be good for the environment? Be sure to try all of the CodeGreen cocktails at Caesars, Harrah’s, and Bally’s Atlantic City so you can do your part, and have a great time doing it. You could even make a full eco-friendly vacation out of it, and stay over in Atlantic City! Click here to book your room now!
