Atlantic City is known for a wide array of awesome attractions – but chances are if you’re headed down to ‘Do AC’ you’re at least a little interested in scoping out the bar scene. That task can seem daunting, especially when considering the hundreds of different bars and restaurants that Atlantic City has to offer – each with different vibes and styles. Plus, everyone enjoys different kinds of drinks so it can be difficult to find somewhere that suits your preferences. But whether you’re a wine connoisseur or a cocktail aficionado, we can help you out.

Here’s our guide to finding the right Atlantic City bar for you by your preferred drink type – whatever you’re in the mood for, there’s a place where you can find your drink at Caesars, Harrah’s, and Bally’s in Atlantic City!

Beer- GORDON RAMSAY PUB & GRILL

Attention hop heads: this one’s for you. The Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill in Caesars Atlantic City is known for more than just its Beef Wellington. There’s also an awesome bar stocked with more than 26 beers on tap and 22 bottled options from worldwide and local breweries.

Plus, the second Friday of every month is Firkin Friday – an event all beer lovers are sure to enjoy. At 6pm, the bar taps a new firkin using a wooden mallet and a great deal of showmanship (think kilts and bagpipes). The firkin is filled with a delicious brew from the Cape May brewery. (this month it will be Cape May Lager with Orange Peel and Citra Hops. This will be a new beer and one that is very approachable to a wide variety of beer drinkers) The bar then sells $5 pints of the beer from the firkin until it runs out. Plus there’s an expert from the brewery to answer questions and talk through the flavor profile.

There’s also an upcoming beer brunch on March 30 & 31 featuring limited release draft beers from new Belgium and Firestone walker brewing companies each hand paired with specialty menu items (Tickets can be purchased through open table!). The pub is always hosting exciting beer events, and is equip with friendly and knowledgeable bartenders that can talk beer for hours!

Wine – Guy’s Chophouse

You may not have noticed the large wall of wine at Guy Fieri’s Chophouse at Bally’s, but it’s a sight to behold. Their wine list is out of this world. Don’t believe us? They were recently recognized as the winner of wine spectator’s 2018 award of excellence for their outstanding wine list. The award recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style, and that’s definitely well-deserved for Chophouse. Their wine list features tons of options, plus “guys stellar cellar” so it’s always possible to find the perfect pair in flavor town.

Classic Cocktails – Lobby Bar

Sometimes you just need something classic, something fast, reliable, and convenient. Despite the fact that the Lobby Bar at Bally’s is right out in the open, it sometimes feels like one of Atlantic City’s best kept secrets. The friendly and skilled mixologists at this full service and they can handle any crazy cocktail order that you could possibly throw at them (and prepare it better than you’ve ever had it!) in addition to whipping up all your usual favorites. Plus, happy hour is from 3pm until 5pm everyday, and every single drink is 50% off! If you’re a fan of cocktails, you’ll feel right at home here.

Margarita – VeraCruz

With a menu inspired by Mexican street food, Veracruz is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in AC, so it makes sense that it also has the best margaritas in town. To put it simply: you’re a fan of tequila, you’ll be a fan of Veracruz. Whether you like yours frozen or traditional, or perhaps you want something a little sweeter like the Prickly Pear, there’s definitely no shortage of delicious, tequila-based drinks. Plus, you can pair them with some unbelievable tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas and more. They even have happy hour every Friday and Saturday from 4-5 where you can get $5 margs and menu items! Yes please!

Frozen Drinks – Daytime Pool at harrah’s

If you’re a frozen drink lover, you probably loathe the winter in Atlantic City. Summertime brings beach bars and frozen drinks galore, but when the colder season rolls around most of those options disappear. Luckily, it’s always 82 degrees and sunny at the Pool at Harrah’s Resort. Under the dome you can escape the frigid weather and sip on delicious frozen Piña Coladas and Strawberry Daiquiris. The pool is equip with a full bar, and can whip up any combination you can dram of. Our bikini-clad servers will bring you drinks poolside, as you relax in the sun – what could be better!

Bloody Mary – Nero’s

If you partied a little too hard in Atlantic City and you need a Bloody Mart to start your day, we recommend Nero’s. Sure, there are tons of great Bloody Mary locations in AC, (and Coastal Craft Kitchen at Harrah’s deserves an honorable mention for its outstanding Bloody Mary)  But Nero’s reigns superior because it can satisfy anyone’s taste buds. Literally. Nero’s Sunday brunch has a Bloody Mary bar where you can create your own Bloody Mary. The Bloody Marys are unlimited…and so are the ways to create them. You can choose what kind of alcohol, and from a variety of different garnishes (bacon, olives, shrimp, celery, pepperoni, etc.) Pretty much anything you can imagine to create your dream Bloody Mary. There’s a reason the all-you-can-eat-brunch buffet at Nero’s every Sunday was named one of the best in the country, and the fantastic Bloody Mary bar definitely helps!

No matter what you’re craving, rest assured you can find it at Caesars, Harrah’s and Bally’s in Atlantic City!
