Children behaveeee. That’s what they say when we’re together! Man! we just feel like singing lately! This is what happens when crazy amounts of tremendous talent come to The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City in ONE weekend! And you know what ALWAYS makes for a good party? When you get to take things back old school!

That is what is going on tonight! The Pool After Dark is having a Flashback To The 80’s Party. What makes this even more gnarly is that Tiffany will be hosting the festivities! Just. Too. Perfect.

But a lot has happened for the starlet since “I Think We’re Alone Now” and “Should’ve Been Me”. Tiffany had a wild ride through the late ’80s and kept on plugging through the changing musical landscape of the early ’90s. It wasn’t until 2000 when the word “comeback” came into play with the release of The Color Of Silence. She then went onto release Dust Off And Dance in 2005, Just Me in 2007, and most recently, Rose Tattoo in 2011 where she took it on back to her country roots. Did you all know that Tiffany first had dreams of being a country singer? Ah, where life takes us. The girl can sing anything though, really.

She’s also had stints in acting through the years, our favorite being the voice of Judy Jetson in Jetsons: The Movie. That’s right.

Anyway, this perhaps long-winded overview was our way of telling you that we are totally excited that Tiffany will be performing “I Think We’re Alone Now” and hosting Aqua Fridays at The Pool tonight. We couldn’t let this date on the calendar slip away without asking her a couple questions. Check out our Q&A with Tiffany, below!

Tiffany

TAC: You were so young when you first broke out onto the scene. What made you first realize that you made it?

Tiffany: Being able to buy nice clothes.

TAC: Totally logical answer for a young girl! What do you think it is about “I Think We’re Alone Now” that always makes people happy and revel in the song the second they hear it?

Tiffany: It’s definitely a song that makes people happy! It’s probably the message of the song, being rebellious, being alone with someone you’re not supposed to be, your first love, etc.  I think the song just embodies the youth of the 80’s.

TAC: A lot of your hits are about 25 years-old! Is there a song from that era that you are just totally sick of performing?

Tiffany: Not at all. I’ve always been very thankful for my hits, and that people embraced them around the world. A lot of the big 80’s songs have a life of their own, “I think We’re Alone Now” included and continue to be embraced by newer generations, which is great.

TAC: How is being a recording artist now different from being a teen pop star back in the ‘80s?

Tiffany: As an adult, I respect the music industry a lot more. From the business side, I get to see how hard it actually is to have the level of success I achieved. As an artist, I’ve grown and now write my own songs which allows me to express my own feelings and get my own personal experiences out there versus when I was a teen and recorded songs written by other people.

TAC: What are you most proud of so far in your career?

Tiffany: Working with artists that I am a fan of, and still working 25 years later. I recently did a commercial with Wynonna Judd, performed with John Mellencamp, recorded & filmed with Meatloaf, etc. My career still allows me to work with legendary people, which is very fulfilling.

TAC: What can we expect from your hosting duties here at The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort tonight?

Tiffany: We’re going to have a great time, hang out…and rock it out old school ’80s!

TAC: Looks like you’ve been writing a lot in Nashville lately! Can you let us in on any secrets?

Tiffany: There are no short cuts in Nashville. Be prepared to do the work, and pay your dues.

TAC: You’ve just opened up a vintage clothing boutique in Tennessee where you are selling your “Worn By Tiffany” collection. Part of these proceeds will go to The Caring Place. What inspired this idea and what made The Caring Place your charity of choice?

Tiffany: The Caring Place is a fantastic cancer charity. I’ve had a number of close friends and family members battle cancer, and lost my father to cancer this past summer. The Caring Place provides the much needed support and counseling that both patients and the family need. These people really do CARE and understand what you’re going through.

TAC: Everyone seems to love you! Celebs and fans alike. Who is your best celeb friend?

Tiffany: Lance Bass is a sweetheart & a good buddy of mine.

TAC: Cuteness. What’s next for you?

Tiffany: In talks for a book, a ballad album for the end of the year, TV Shows, and hopefully another movie!

Sounds awesome! In the meantime, check out Tiffany tonight at The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort! Pricing starts at $10.
