There was some b-ball action in Atlantic City over the weekend, people. Have ya heard?

The Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets duked it out this past Saturday night during a preseason match at Boardwalk Hall sponsored by Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City.

Philadelphia 76ers

Look at that fancy logo decal from Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall.

The Nets scored their first ever exhibition win against the Sixers at Boardwalk Hall as they took the game in overtime, 108-105. The 76ers obviously hold the first two wins from 1982 and 1983.

Clearly, a lot has changed since this third meeting. One of them being Evan Turner who tallied 14 points for the red, white and blue Sat night. We stole a couple quick minutes with the Sixers guard and tried to get some deets on the upcoming season. Check it out, below.

Evan Turner

TAC: What are you most looking forward to about coming to Atlantic City to play this game against the Nets at Boardwalk Hall?

Evan Turner: Just being able to go out and compete against a good team and take further steps in our development as a group.

TAC: You were a college basketball superstar. How is playing in the NBA different for you?

Evan Turner: There are less games in college, so there was more time to prepare for certain situations. You have to improvise things in the NBA on some nights because of what you’re asked to do.

TAC: What do you like about playing in Philadelphia and for a legendary team like the 76ers?

Evan Turner: The fans are really passionate. There’s a lot of history when you put this jersey on so it’s very cool to be able to represent that as well.

TAC: What do you think you will bring to the team this year?

Evan Turner: Energy, leadership and versatility.

TAC: How excited are you to be playing with Bynum?

Evan Turner: It’s going to be fun. It will definitely take a lot of pressure off of us defensively. He’s going to be a dominant force and I think we’re going to scare a lot of teams.

TAC: What are your personal pre-game rituals?

Evan Turner: I just chill out, make sure I get up shots and I pray to make sure nobody gets hurt.

About 7 thousand NBA fans enjoyed the match up at Boardwalk Hall this weekend. Hopefully we won’t have to wait 29 years again for the next one.
