Spaghetti at Buca Di Beppo /Bally’s Atlantic City

Eat Up! Bon Apetit! Chow Down! However way you like to say it, we can all agree that eating is fun (not to mention necessary to stay alive).  We like food too, and we want to tell you what we’re up to during Atlantic City Restaurant Week at Caesars, Bally’s, and Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City.

Let’s start at Caesar’s AC and take a look around:

Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill:

Here are three reasons to enjoy Gordon Ramsay during Restaurant Week:

Learn about and try The Scotch Egg –  You may have tried a scotch egg dish somewhere else, or if you’re like me, you have no idea what a scotched egg consists of.  Lucky for you and I, the scotched egg is one of three appetizers to choose from during Restaurant Week at Gordon’s.  It’s a crisp soft-boiled egg in sausage, HP-Braised Cabbage, and English mustard.

The Bangers & Mash is offered as an Entree – The signature Bangers & Mash will be on the Restaurant Week menu, which makes everybody happy!  Sausage, bacon, cheddar mashed potatoes (hello??!!), and onion gravy all put together in one beautiful gravy filled presentation.

The atmosphere is well worth staying for a meal – You will never experience anything like this British pub! The restaurant spans from the lobby to the casino floor.  The furniture, the props, the service, and the London telephone booth backdrops make this spot one of my favorite spots in Atlantic City.

KWI Noodle House

A traditional three-course meal will be waiting for you with the ultimate Asian Cuisine.  Your starters include the Stuffed Crab Claws which I personally recommend.  The entrees include Stir-Fried Beef with Spicy Asian BBQ Sauce, Peking Pork Chop, or Shrimp with Lobster Sauce.

Nero’s Italian Steakhouse:

Restaurant Week at Nero’s will consist of a three-course dinner.  The first course will include a Sicilian Seafood or House Cured Salmon with Italian Potato Salad.  The main course will be your choices of Hand Crafted Cavatelli, Tossed with Broccoli Rabe, Oven Dried Tomato and Parmesan Cheese or

Veal Cannelloni, Spinach Mascarpone Baked in Marinara with Fonduta Sauce or
Filet Mignon with Crab Ravioli and Spinach.

The final and most important course (dessert) will be the amazing Nero’s cheesecake!

Now, let’s take a quick walk to Bally’s:

Buca Di Beppo:

Buca Di Beppo on the 6th floor of Bally’s Atlantic City is already known for its half pound meatballs and signature pancakes, but this Italian gem will make you fall in love with this place all over again once you take advantage of these special entries and deals during restaurant week!  Here are five reasons to come enjoy Buca Di Beppo during your week of tastings!

1.)  Buca will offer both lunch and dinner restaurant week deals

The week of amazing food galore won’t just be available for dinner, it’s for lunch too with a three-course meal waiting for you including a salad, main courses here include stuffed chicken and Salmon Sorrento, and a dessert.  Lunch will be so good you’ll want to take a nap afterwards!  Dinner will be a four-course meal.

2.) All dishes are meant to be shared

Italian family style cooking at its best! Bring your empty stomachs and leave satisfied.  You wallet will thank you as well!

3.)  Small prices for big eats!

As I mentioned before, lunch at Buca Di Beppo during restaurant week will be a three course meal for $15.16 per person.  The four course-dinner will only be $33.16 per person.

4.)  If you don’t order Spaghetti as your main course, you can order it as a side dish.

If you’re like me, you REALLY want the signature Spaghetti and half pound meatballs with homemade marinara sauce, but then the Salmon Sorrento looks great and you can only choose ONE main course on the Restaurant Menu.  Worry no more, you can get your Salmon with a side of the signature Spaghetti (or a side of broccoli if you prefer). Now you have the best of both worlds in front of you and your day is completely satisfied.

5.)   The Lunch and Dinner menus are scheduled very conveniently for you!

A typical ‘Lunch Hour’ is between noon-1 or 1-2PM.  Here at Buca, we invite you to come on time or come late.  The specialty restaurant week lunch menu is available between noon-4PM, while the Dinner Menu begins at 5PM and lasts till 9PM.

Guy Fieri’s Chophouse:

What’s there NOT to like at Guy’s.  Not only did they win the AC Nightlife Award for Best Beer Selection, but the food is out of this world! Here are just a few things to look forward to on Guy’s Restaurant Week menu:

1.) Garlic Buffalo Wings and the Spicy Crunchy Tuna Roll are two of my favorite appetizers listed.  The other selections are Guy’s Potato Rig Soup and ‘The Wedge’ (Iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, Maytag blue cheese, Applewood bacon).

2.) The Entree list is packed full of hard choices.  From prime rib, to grilled chicken, to even Wood Grilled Cajun Salmon! I’ll have to order ONE of these of course, so maybe I’ll some of yours.

3.) They have a dessert called the Triple Double Pie.  When it comes to dessert, anything that says ‘Triple Double’ excites me more than nerd at a Star Wars movie premiere (and I was one of those nerds).  This plate of sweet goodness has mint chocolate chip ice cream, oreo crumb, junior mints, and hot fudge sauce. You also have another option that is just as good called the Chophouse Cheesecake, with potato chips and chocolate covered pretzels.

Noodle Village:

If you’re in the mood for something warm on a cold day, then Noodle Village is your destination! The Restaurant Menu will feature a number of different soup options.  As far as the entrees, I personally recommend the Filet Mignon Tips & Asparagus Stir Fry!

Last but not least, let’s take a cab from Bally’s and head our way to Harrah’s AC!

Martorano’s: (YO CUZ!)

Your choice of appetizers are Eggplant Stacked – Breaded eggplant pan fried, layered with homemade mozzarella, marinated tomatoes, arugula and slices of D.O.C. Parmigiano Reggiano cheese (opentable). Or, the world famous Meatball Salad (Eat Me!!!).

Your choice of entrees are:

Chicken Cutlet Parmesan – Pan fried chicken cutlet, topped with Sunday gravy and homemade fresh mozzerella

Rigatoni Sunday Gravy – Our famous Sunday gravy with chunks of pork and a scoop of ricotta cheese

Bucatini Carbonara – Pancetta, egg, cream, black pepper, and D.O.C. Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese.

Your dessert is Home Made Cannoli’s (need I say more?)

Bill’s Bar and Burger:

While looking at the Restaurant Week dinner menu, I immediately fell in love with the BEAST FRIES.  This appetizer can literally be eaten as a meal, and it’s not your ‘normal batch of fries’.  We’re talking tater tots, topped with bell peppers and onions, chorizo sausage, melted cheddar cheese, chopped cilantro, an over easy egg, and siracha ketchup. (Opentable)

If you decide that the beast fries wasn’t enough for you, or perhaps you box it up to make room for the entree and dessert, then let me tell you about the Wagu Burger.  This one-of-a-kind burger consists of tartufo cheese, mushroom salad, lemon mustard mayo, arugula on a bun.

Last but not least we have dessert (if your stomach will allow it, and with good discipline or a bottomless stomach, you can achieve this goal).  The dessert is something special and one of a kind.  We’re talking about the Maple Bacon Shake.  It’s very simple: vanilla ice cream, maple syrup, and bacon (OK, never mind the ‘simple’ part, did I just type ‘bacon’?) Talk about Breakfast in a cold glass for dessert.  This will be something that is completely out of this world, and you will come back for more!

Dos Caminos:

One of my favorite places to eat in all of Atlantic City! The Restaurant Week menu here is packed with so much flavor and options, that you’re going to want to make another reservation here later in the week.  Your starters include:

Huitlacoche & Corn Soup – Creamy roasted corn soup with pablano peppers and Mexican corn truffle

Scallop Tostadita – Seared sea scallop on a small handmade tortilla lightly crisped, topped with a blood orange, watercress and pickled onion salad. Queso Fresco

Guajillo Braised Pork Belly – Served with a Frisee, radicchio salad with roasted pineapple salsa

Your choice of entrees are:

Dry Adobo Rubbed Baby Back Ribs – Roasted baby potatoes with bacon and pablano peppers, and citrus marinated cabbage slaw

Grilled Mahi Mahi – Roasted tomato salsa, saffron and chorizo rice, grilled asparagus

Roasted Cumin Chicken Breast – Finished in fresh tomatillo salsa, Epazote herbed rice, sauteed kale

Finally, for dessert your choices are:

Warm Chocolate Torta – Warm soft chocolate cake, Mexican chocolate sauce with passion fruit sorbet

Tres Leches Cake – Caramel cake, vanilla pudding, caramel crunch fresh berries.
