New Mayor for Vegas: Carolyn Goodman Clinches Race

A new Las Vegas mayor was elected Jun. 7, and her name may sound familiar. Carolyn Goodman, wife of longtime Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, was elected by a 3-to-2 margin.

This blog isn’t really into politics, but we took a great photo of Carolyn Goodman during her campaign, and we felt like announcing her victory was a great excuse to post the picture again.

News of Carolyn Goodman’s win is making worldwide news (it’s Las Vegas, after all). Here’s a clip from CBS.

If you’re into that “reading” thing, here are more words about the mayor-elect, Carolyn Goodman, from the Las Vegas Sun, Vegas Seven magazine and Las Vegas Weekly. Because, remember, “providing links” is almost the same thing as “writing something.”

Congratulations to Carolyn Goodman and her team. We figure we should start kissing up now so we’ll be invited to the victory party. We get the feeling the Goodman’s know how to throw a party.

  1. Jealous of Penn and Teller and angling for your own key?

  2. Wow. Things change fast in Las Vegas. I thought Mayor Oscar Goodman just gave the key to the city to Penn and Teller. Pretty close race. Congratulations to Carolyn Goodman and her team.
