Famed chef Bobby Flay is cooking up something special for the first “Chefs to the Max” dinner.

Want to be wined and dined by A-list Las Vegas chefs all for a good cause? An all-star roster of culinary geniuses are on the lineup for the inaugural “Chefs to the Max” benefit dinner on Jan. 19 at Rx Boiler Room to raise funds for Las Vegas journalist Max Jacobson. Food Network grill master Bobby Flay of Mesa Grill will be on hand with a who’s who list of foodie moguls, including Bruce Bromberg, Thomas Keller, Rick Moonen, Bradley Ogden and Hubert Keller. The only two powerhouse female chefs on the Strip, Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger (who are bringing their cult favorite Border Grill to The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace this spring) are also participating.

This will be the first “Chefs to the Max” event, an ongoing dinner series mixing cuisine prepared by celebrity chefs in Vegas foodie hot spots and benefiting Jacobson’s medical treatment. For its first incarnation, 100 percent of the night’s proceeds go to Jacobson, an acclaimed food journalist who remains in critical condition after being struck by a car two days before Christmas.

Expect the exemplary mix of talents to pull out all the stops, with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served from 6-7 p.m., and a lavish six-course dinner from 7-10 p.m. featuring beverages and mixology by sponsor Southern Wine and Spirits. Tickets are $1,000 per person and are available for purchase by calling Rx Boiler Room at (702) 632-9305 or email  with the subject line “Chefs to the Max.” No word on the menu for the night, but it will undoubtedly be a rare and spectacular culinary experience.
