We had an interesting encounter yesterday. One which brought us within one degree of separation from Holly Madison, star of “Peepshow” at Planet Hollywood.

While attending a fundraising event for a local charity, Spread the Word Nevada, we got to watch some BMX bikers do their thing. The main attraction? Ricardo Laguna, described as a “hard core dirt rider.”

Laguna made a splash when he lipped and bermed his way (keep up with the BMX jargon, please) himself onto the cover of Las Vegas magazine.

The magazine noted Laguna is one of Sin City’s most eligible bachelors. And, coincidentally, that’s where we make the tenuous but nevertheless amusing Holly Madison connection.

You see, Laguna made an appearance on Madison’s reality show, “Holly’s World,” when the two went on a slightly awkward date. Thanks for letting us relive this memorable TV moment, Interwebs.

As far as we could tell, Laguna seems like a nice guy in person, taking time to joke around and give autographs to excited kids in the crowd. And, of course, he gets bonus points for helping an organization that gives books to kids.

You just never know who you’ll run into in Las Vegas!
