The World Series of Poker, currently under way at Rio Las Vegas, has set a new overall attendance record, and that’s before the Main Event has even begun.

To-date, there have been 63,706 entrants participating in 55 events. The enthusiastic level of play has generated a prize pool in excess of $113 million.

More fun stats from the WSOP: This year’s largest event was Event #3 ($1,000 No-Limit Hold’em) with 4,345 players. The largest event prize pool, of $5,568,000, was Event #2 ($50,000 Poker Players Championship). The largest first place prize so far was $1,559,046 (Event #2).

The event’s biggest draw, the Main Event, begins Jul. 5.
