The 10th Annual Duck Derby happens this weekend, Oct. 24, at Town Square (at the south end of the Strip). The event is a fundraiser for a local charity, Positively Kids, and runs from noon to 4:00 p.m. It’s free to attend.

Proceeds from the event will provide funding for programs and services benefiting Las Vegas’ medically-dependent and critically ill children and their families.

Adopt one of the 10,000 ducks on-hand for $5 (or $25 for six), and you could win a prize, or even a million bucks.

Bonus duckie trivia: Ernie first sang the classic "Rubber Duckie" song on "Sesame Street" in 1970.

The gathering also features entertainment, a live radio remote, a talent showcase, inflatable rides, carnival games, street entertainers, celebrity appearances and  more. It’s described as a “block party, street fair and carnival all rolled into one.” Learn more here.
