Yes, Las Vegas is known for its exciting nightlife, but we’ve actually got some pretty entertaining ways to spend an afternoon too.

If you’re looking for something fun to do during the day in Vegas and you don’t want to spend a ton of money, or you’re looking for something family friendly, afternoon shows are a good bet.

We’ve got everything from music to magic to mentalists. Catch one of these afternoon Vegas shows and you’ll still have time to make it to happy hour or dinner afterwards.

Legends in Concert at Flamingo Las Vegas

Showtimes: Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 4 p.m.

Legends in Concert is the longest-running show in Vegas for good reason. It’s an entertaining journey through a variety of musical genres with performances paying tribute to artists like Michael Jackson, Elvis, Tina Turner, Johnny Cash, Elton John, Madonna, Britney Spears and many more.

The show features live re-creations of the stars backed by a live band and a cast of singers and dancers. These incredible artists have pitch perfect live vocals and stunningly similar appearances to the legends they portray.

Showtimes: Tuesday – Saturday, 1 and 3 p.m.

Mac King has been playing at Harrah’s Las Vegas for more than 18 years and he just renewed his contract through 2023. This long-running show is popular with people of all ages and it’s a very entertaining way to spend your afternoon in Vegas.

King’s unique act is a mix of his quirky humor, visual gags and astounding sleight-of-hand magic. King is known for his engaging personality and original magic creations, like making a live goldfish appear over an audience member’s head.

Menopause the Musical at Harrah’s Las Vegas

Showtime: Monday and Saturday, 4 p.m.

You’ll be laughing and dancing in the aisles at Menopause the Musical. This hilarious musical parody pokes fun at the not-so-funny aspects of menopause like weight gain, memory loss, hot flashes and night sweats. The songs, including “Stayin’ Awake” and “Night Sweatin’” are set to familiar tunes from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s.

Paranormal at Bally’s Las Vegas

Showtimes: Friday – Tuesday, 4 p.m.

Prepare to have your mind blown by mentalist Frederic Da Silva in his show Paranormal at Bally’s Las Vegas. Da Silva’s show features a little bit of mystery, a little bit of magic and some astonishing mind reading.

Audience members are randomly selected to go on stage and Da Silva will guess the name of the person they are thinking of, stop a watch at the time the audience member visualized and much more.

Stick around after the show to meet Da Silva. Don’t believe he can read your mind? He’ll guess the number you’re thinking of.

The all-in-Spanish show Ilusión Mental stars Santiago Michel, your guide through the secret doorways and hidden passages of the human mind.

This mentalist/magician will amaze you with his mind-reading tricks in a 65-minute, all-ages show. Expect plenty of audience interaction.

XBU at Flamingo Las Vegas, you’ll learn a variety of tips and tricks to the subtle and sexy art of burlesque

XBU: X Burlesque University at Flamingo Las Vegas

Showtime: Saturday, 3 p.m.

What to learn the tricks of the trade of a showgirl? Attend X Burlesque University and you’ll learn a variety of tips to achieve the subtle and sexy art of burlesque.

Taught by the same talented and beautiful women who perform in the X Burlesque adult revue, guests are taught everything from choreography to how to apply showgirl makeup. Upon completion of the 75-minute class, XBU students will receive a complimentary makeup kit, professional souvenir photo and official XBU diploma to proudly display.

Showtimes: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2 – 6 p.m

Elvis fans won’t want to miss Pete Vallee as Big Elvis in this classic Las Vegas impersonator show. The best part? It’s free. Big Elvis performs inside The Piano Bar at Harrah’s Las Vegas.

Big Elvis performs all the hits of The King, as well as other popular tunes spanning six decades of music. Expect to hear rock, country, gospel, R&B and pop. Big Elvis interacts with his audience, invites them to participate in his show and performs requests, including both popular and obscure.
