The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino opened in 1990. Since that time, it has been a favorite of both locals and tourists. Whether it be the iconic Carnival World Buffet, the Prince residency or the impressive view from the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub, 51 stories above the Strip, the resort has always offered guests numerous thrills. Here are 10 things you might not know about the Rio to keep the thrills going:

Penn & Teller at 25
The most famous duo of magicians in the world has been a mainstay in Las for 25 years now. Penn & Teller have been the resident headliners of the hotel since 2001 and have their own theater named after them. Besides their nightly residency, The Penn & Teller Theater has also hosted “The Price Is Right,” “Live With Regis and Kelly,” “HELL’S KITCHEN” and of course, “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” which completed its fifth season this year. Make it a point to see why these dissectors of magic are such a draw all these years later. You will be mesmerized.
More Than You Know at Voodoo Steak
The steakhouse, bar, lounge and club has been a must-visit destination for all Vegas visitors for its stunning Strip views, swank vibe and food and beverage program since its inception. All of that is still in play, but now with a bit of refresh. Special events make this trendy location an even trendier place to check out. Along with a new tasting menu, Voodoo Steak is building off the success of their recently launched dinner series with three new events – five-course meals with beverage pairings. Chefs, beverage specialists and comedians from The Comedy Cellar provide ongoing commentary throughout the meal.

Fight Night Is Here

Eight fight nights – beginning Oct. 12 – take place in 2018 with a champion being declared at the end of each night. Events are shown on CBS Sports Network with disciplines including boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts. Fans of all fight forms will enjoy this.

All In All, We’re Just Another Brick In The Wall
The brick here being gamers and the wall here being The Wall Gaming Lounge, this venue is a haven for video game players and fans of all levels. With 30 high-end Alienware PCs and console gaming stations, game-inspired wall art, mobile food ordering and a self-serve beverage station, this is the place for gamers to unite. And coming soon, a gamer-inspired menu and self-serve alcohol menu. Power up!

Ladies Night
It would be naïve to assume that the Chippendales all-male dance revue draws an all-female audience, but girl power does reign supreme in the party planning for groups going to and coming from Chippendales. Designed by women with their gender in mind, Flirt Lounge is the ideal place to grab a few cocktails before the show or throw down bachelorette party-style. Purple-accented décor, an all-male wait staff and a frozen daiquiri bar are just a few of the elements that make this place so attractive. It’s the perfect complement to the Chippendales themselves.

VooDoo Beach Las Vegas is your getaway from your getaway. There are four different pool areas, three whirlpools and beautiful waterfalls. Flair bartenders mesmerize the eyes and the taste buds at both Cruzan Island Bar and VooDoo Beach Bar. And throughout pool season which runs thru October, guests can enjoy cheeky events like booze yoga, acoustic night featuring live music, movies poolside, live DJs and even poolside spa treatments. And for those looking for a more adult-themed day at the beach, check out VooPool, the 21 and over pool experience.

Sports Mania
The Rio is becoming a sport watching haven. Football fans can dock all season and watch their favorite teams in a bevy of settings. An area of the poker room has been converted to a VIP football viewing party space. All American Bar and Grill also has its own room for football viewers. As for the hometown heroes, the NHL’s Las Vegas Golden Knights, every game is streamed live at both All American Bar & Grill and the sports book. Upcoming hockey viewing parties will take place on Dec. 8 and Jan. 4.
