The first-ever World Food Championships happen Nov. 1-4, 2012 at Bally’s Las Vegas, with additional events at Paris Las Vegas and Caesars Palace.

TV’s Adam Richman (“Man v. Food,” below) hosts the four-day, belt-busting food festival and cooking competition where chefs will square off for bragging rights and $300,000 in prize money.

Cooking competitions will include barbecue, chili, burgers, sandwiches, and side dishes. Here’s the schedule of what happens when.

A highlight of the gathering will be a World Chef Challenge open to some of the best chefs in America’s greatest food cities.

Some of the chefs and food celebs scheduled to appear include: Nadia G., host of the Cooking Channel’s “Nadia G.’s Bitchin’ Kitchen,” Colman Andrews, editor-in-chief of “The Daily Meal,” Barbara Fairchild, former editor-in-chief of “Bon Appétit,” Chris Hanmer, winner of Bravo’s “Top Chef Just Desserts,” Marc Murphy, star of Food Network’s “Chopped,” Antonia Lofaso, chef on Bravo’s “Top Chef: Chicago” and “Top Chef All-Stars,” Myron Mixon, star of Destination America’s “BBQ Pitmasters” and others.

BBQ

There. Will. Be. Meat.

The World Food Championships will also include a food expo with live stage shows and hourly cooking demonstrations. A number of events are free (don’t miss the $25,000 World Burger Championship on Nov. 2, 7-10 p.m., at the Bally’s Entrance Plaza) and open to the public, with other VIP ticketed events in the mix, too.

Check the official site for details, and tickets can be purchased here.

It’s foodie heaven, and it’s only in Vegas, baby.
