Guests of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” got a holiday surprise on Dec. 13, 2011 as part of the show’s “12 Days of Giveaways” series. Several surprises, actually.

Yes, this blog takes photos of its TV. Why, what do you do in your spare time?

After enduring a segment with Diane Keaton, “Ellen” audience members were rewarded with free gifts like Ticketmaster gift certificates, Casio keyboards, Stratocaster guitars and iPod Touches.

The giveaway culminated with guests receiving a three-day, two-night stay at the new Octavius Tower at Caesears Palace.

Score.

In addition to the stay, the studio audience also received gift cards for The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, tickets to the Jubilee! show at Bally’s and a $150 gift card for dining at Caesars. The prize packages were valued at more than $900.

A writer for the “Ellen” show, Amy Rhodes, visited Caesars to show off the hotel’s new tower. At one point, she turned to Caesar and said, “I love your salad.” Yes, she’s the head writer of the Ellen show. Moving on.

Lesson: Certain centurions need to lighten up a little.

Rhodes was also seen picking up some Celine merchandise at The Forum Shops, bathing in a tub of rose pedals while sipping champagne, and hanging out with several showgirls from “Jubilee!”

Insider tip: Want to feel short? Surround yourself with showgirls.

Thanks to the miracle that is the Interwebs, you can view the segment here. You can also see a guy put his body through a tennis racket. Sort of.
