The magical elves who appear to create Las Vegas restaurants overnight have been hard at work in the new Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace, and we’ve got exclusive photographic proof.

At the moment, the new Bacchanal Buffet is protected from prying eyes by a tall, black curtain. Mysterious, huh?

Even the shrubbery outside the buffet looks bite-sized and delicious.

However, this blog doesn’t live by society’s rules, and we employed a time-honored investigative journalism tactic to get some photos inside the much-anticipated buffet. Specifically, we kind of took photos through the openings in the curtain. Don’t try this yourself. We are a professional corporate blog.

The new $17 million Bacchanal Buffet will feature more than 500 items, many made-to-order in front of guests.

The buffet will have nine (count ’em nine) show kitchens under one roof.

Stations will include Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, American, seafood, pizza, deli and, of course, a dessert station this blog is betting will make your brain implode (in a good way).

Design of the Bacchanal Buffet is being done by a Japanese firm, Super Potato.

The company has done acclaimed designs of restaurants and spas around the world, including at many Shangri-La, Hyatt, Park Hyatt and other hotels.

With 500 items on the menu, you might want to pace yourself.
