Five Suggestions for National Martini Day

June 19 is National Martini Day, and unlike many annoying, made-up holidays, this one involves martinis, so this blog is fully behind it.

Here are some Vegas-centric suggestions when it comes to creating some martini mayhem. Which, we’re thinking, would make a great band name.

Let's get this party started with a Caramel Apple Martini from Center Cut at Flamingo.

The new Center Cut Steakhouse at Flamingo doesn’t just do food. Its bar, just outside the restaurant entrance, also serves some delicious signature martinis, including the Caramel Apple Martini above.

Next up, the Cotton Candy Martini from Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace.

We are not making this up.

Read more about the devilish concoctions.

Our next National Martini Day delight comes from Old Homestead Steakhouse, also at Caesars.

Lemon Drop Martini, you only lasted a minute, but it was a great minute.

That ought to take care of your scurvy, matey. Or something.

It’s not that Caesars Palace has every great martini in Vegas, but it certainly has its fair share. Which brings us to the Evil Martini served in the Gossy Room at Cleopatra’s Barge.

Matt Goss Evil Martini

Martini fact: The greater the height of the pour, the more you realize how irrelevant the height of a pour is.

The Evil Martini is too pretty to be truly evil. There’s maybe a splash of evil. Ask Gossy Room singer Matt Goss, he’s a martini expert. He also knows a bit about singing, since he was chosen a 2012 reader favorite for “Best Las Vegas Lounge Act” in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Now, for our last martini for National Martini Day. And it’s not even the drinkable kind. It’s an homage to not only martinis, but also to Las Vegas.

Neon martini

One of this blog's all-time favorite neon signs.

This neon beauty resides in downtown Las Vegas, on Fremont Street. Home to awesome bars, buskers, a popular zip line, restaurants, the homeless, the Fremont Street Experience and more neon than your eyeballs can even begin to drink in.

Happy National Martini Day. Then again, in Sin City, just about every day is National Martini Day. If,  you know,  you order a martini.
