Blogger Eric Fox enjoying the view of Las Vegas Pool at Caesars Palace

Hello everyone! My name is Erika Fox and I’m from the fashion & lifestyle blog, Retro Flame. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit Caesars Palace for a few days last week and I’m so excited to share all the details. It was honestly the trip of a lifetime! I took lots of photos, ate so much delicious food and of course, did some shopping (every girl’s priority) – so I can’t wait to tell you everything about the trip.

I left New York on Monday afternoon and after a short airport delay, I landed in Vegas at 8 p.m. I was greeted at the airport by the most AMAZING Caesars car (and sweet driver) who drove me, via the Strip, to the hotel. As it was my first time in Vegas, I was literally that ‘embarrassing tourist’ with her head out the window taking everything in but I didn’t care one bit. Vegas is just how you imagine it to be – vibrant, bold and FULL of life. So I was loving every minute! As soon as I checked into the hotel and settled into my suite (more on that later), I quickly changed and went downstairs to have a cocktail (or two) at Montecristo Cigar Bar. I knew the next day was going to be a busy one, so I didn’t stay out too late…but I totally could have. What a beautiful bar with amazing service. If you go there, be sure to try their Berry Mojito. SO delicious!

The Augustus Spa Suite at Caesars Palace- Las Vegas Suite

The next morning, I woke up bright and early (thank you jet lag) and finally had a chance to properly check out my room – The Augustus Spa Suite. One word – WOW!!! I have never in my life stayed in such a cool room. Every single part of the room was more impressive than the next. The room consisted of a lobby area when you walk in the door (yes, a lobby area), a spacious living area, a beautiful bedroom, the most AMAZING bathroom consisting of two vanity areas and a bath with a view of Vegas. Then last, but certainly not least, there was a sauna. Yes, you heard me right, a sauna! How cool is that!? I love a nice hotel room and this one was definitely the best I’ve experienced so far.

After a morning coffee in my hotel room, I went downstairs to the Bacchanal Buffet – which I am still dreaming about. It was the biggest and most elaborate buffet I’ve ever been to. Being the sweet tooth that I am, I stocked up on French toast and pastries and very happily would have stayed there all day until I had tried everything, haha! It’s a buffet that has absolutely everything you can think of and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re at Caesars. As soon as we finished breakfast, it was time for my favorite activity of any trip – the shopping.

Caesars Palace is known for its shopping and I can now definitely see why. The Forum Shops is a dedicated shopping area within the hotel and I was so excited to explore. I got the chance to visit six stores and picked up lots of nice goodies along the way. I started off at the Chanel Beauty Boutique (of course), which offers the very best of Chanel beauty and skincare products, as well as a beautiful collection of Chanel sunglasses. Every girl’s dream store!

From there, I visited Tourneau, which is actually the biggest designer watch store in the world. Can you believe that? As I’m a big lover of watches, I really enjoyed exploring the whole store and also got the chance to try on some beauties from Cartier (which have now all been added to my wish list). I also checked out the new collections at Creed, MCM and Zadig & Voltaire, which were all super impressive too. Creed has just launched Aventus for women, which I loved, MCM’s bag collection is always a favorite of mine and I spotted my dream black boots at Zadig & Voltaire. Then finally just before lunch, I squeezed in a visit to the Dior Beauty Boutique and I’m so glad I did. What a stunning store and it even had a private spa area at the back where you can book a facial. I picked up some new foundation, some lip gloss and also a new mascara. A very successful shopping trip all-around and I cannot recommend the Forum Shops enough.

For lunch, we dined at Spago, which I think was actually one of my favorite meals of the trip. We shared a selection of their pizzas, a delicious salad and a pasta dish. SO good! Tuesday night was spent at MR CHOW and Fizz and I absolutely loved both! If you’re a regular follower of my blog, you know that I love all-white decor and so as soon as I walked into MR CHOW I was in heaven. Oh and the food is out of this world too! Be sure to try the white chocolate cheesecake – it was to die for. Fizz is a really chic cocktail bar with beautiful gold decor and was the perfect place to end an amazing day at Caesars Palace.

Wednesday was my last day in Vegas so I was determined to make the most of every minute. We started with breakfast at Cafe Americano, followed by the best massage ever at the the resort’s spa, QUA Baths & Spa. Such a relaxing experience! I went for the 50 minute full-body massage and it was so good, I almost fell asleep, haha! After my spa treatment, I went next door to get my hair done at COLOR Salon by Michael Boychuck. Again, seeing as I love minimalistic decor, with a touch of glam – I was in heaven walking into this salon. Such a stunning space and the perfect place to get a blow-dry before a night out in Vegas.

After my morning of pampering and before an evening of video shooting, I spent the afternoon relaxing in a cabana at the pool. Overall, I think the pool is one of the most impressive parts of the whole hotel and it’s something everyone should experience. We snacked on hummus, bread and tacos and also treated ourselves to some delicious drinks. I went with the mojito, which was both delicious and refreshing in the 45 degree Celsius heat.

As mentioned, the evening was spent filming a SUPER exciting video, which I can’t wait for you to see very soon and then we wrapped up the day with dinner and drinks at Mesa Grill. After a long evening of shooting, this delicious meal was needed. Be sure to try their margarita if you go here.

Overall, it was a trip of a lifetime and I’m so grateful to have experienced all that Caesars Palace has to offer. I left Vegas on Thursday morning with so many great memories and I’m already planning my next trip back. I really hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any more questions about my trip, feel free to get in touch on Instagram (@retroflame) or Snapchat (@retroflame1).

  1. Great write-up, if you’re into fashion. But for guys, we want great drinks to pair with great cigars while we’re hitting the tables! You should reach out to the Vice Lounge Online guys to get them to do a review on guy things! Surely Caesars has cigar options and quality drinks? Can’t wait to hear the Vice-i-ness that is CP & Vegas!
