Caesars Palace 50th Anniversary Exterior

#IAmCaesar. No really, I am Caesar and you can be too. You may have seen the hashtag floating around this summer and wondered what it means. The simple answer is that it can mean anything you want it to be as you craft your perfect Caesars Palace adventure. The iconic center-Strip resort and casino celebrates its 50th Anniversary in a big way August 5 and 6 and you can join in the fun of Caesars Palace 50th Anniversary too.

Create your ideal vacation or staycation by selecting a Caesars Palace 50th Anniversary package. Choose from the I Am Caesar Emperor Package to live the VIP life, the I Am Caesar Culinary Empire Package to dine like royalty, the I Am Caesar Nightlife Package to party with the cool kids or #treatyoself with the I Am Caesar Indulgence Package.

I love food and pampering so my version of “becoming a Caesar” is picking the Indulgence Package. “Indulge” is right in the name and it covers all my essentials. I’ll check in then visit the award-winning Qua Baths & Spa to relax and recharge with a $200 credit. The stone massage with aromatherapy is the perfect way to relieve tension at the start of a fun weekend. Next up is a trip to COLOR Salon to make use of the $100 credit. I’ve never dyed my hair but if I was going to take the plunge, I would definitely want Michael Boychuck’s crew at Color Salon working some magic on my previously untouched tresses.

My chosen package also includes a $100 credit to Bacchanal Buffet so I can enjoy the splurgefest with a friend. Let’s be real; I may just use it to dine a couple of times myself! The most extravagant buffet in Las Vegas warrants a second trip for more red velvet pancakes and mini Wagyu sliders. Bacchanal Buffet commemorates the golden anniversary with 50th Anniversary logo chocolate cupcakes topped with gold foil. The buffet takes it all the way back to 1966 with retro desserts from the year the property opened including the Rhum Baba with summer fruits coulis, a special dessert from the original Circus Maximus at Caesars Palace.

Rao's Tiramisu: Caesars Palace 50th Anniversary Indulgence Package

Rao’s Tiramisu is on the special 50th anniversary prix fixe menu. Yes, please!

I can further fine-tune my anniversary dining experience through the host of food and beverage specials, most of which run through the end of the August. I’ll fuel up with a commemorative Golden Frappuccino at the Forum Food Court Starbucks and while I plan the rest of my tasty weekend. Mesa Grill‘s great lunch deal, running through August 5, features Southwestern Chicken Pot Pie for $19.66. Payard Patisserie & Bistro’s counter also has a $19.66 budget-friendly deal featuring a choice of sandwich, large soda and a bag of chips. It’s nearly impossible to snag a table at Rao’s in New York so I’m not missing my chance to try the Vegas outpost’s special anniversary three-course pre-fixe menu for $50.

With this kind of eating itinerary, the free, self-guided walking tour and photo exhibit is a must to burn off a few calories. I’ll hit up the “Five Lucky Spots” for photo opps and be sure to touch them for good luck.

You’re supposed to touch the Statue of David’s foot for good luck!

On August 5, Gordon Ramsay will host a special pool party for hotel guests complete with a huge champagne toast. Held at Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis, this celebration begins at 9 p.m. and will include the winning creation from the 50th Anniversary nationwide cocktail competition plus a 10-minute fireworks display at 10:20 p.m. On August 6, the property will be buzzing with celebs as Tony Bennett, Wayne Newton, Donny and Marie Osmond, Matt Goss and The Righteous Brothers headline a VIP gala hosted by Howie Mandel. I’ll definitely have my camera ready for selfies on the fly with any famous faces I may pass by on the big anniversary weekend. Perhaps people will even want to grab a pic with me since, after all, #IAmCaesar.
