You’ve waited long enough: The first set of revamped Flamingo Las Vegas rooms are ready for guests.

Flamingo Las Vegas is spending $90 million to renovate 1,280 of its rooms. (You can read about Flamingo’s new rooms project here.) And they sure look spiffy. We love the subtle ways they pay homage to the property’s roots: From the fun wall art to even its room number plates, you’ll find just the right amount of fabulous flamingo. Plus, all rooms come with HDTVs and sweet views. Can’t beat that.

Here are five things we love about the new Flamingo hotel rooms:

1. Minimalist look paired with fun touches

Minimalism is in, and frankly we hope this mentality sticks around for good. Besides, who wants to see loud patterns, clutter and all that jazz, anyway? Flamingo’s renovated rooms has the sleek appeal you’ll love, but they still have a retro Vegas flair. For Flamingo’s Executive King room, we love how the teal blue lamps and pink sectional bring just enough oomph to the modern, neutral décor. Plus, the accent wallpaper adds a nice touch.

2. Vintage Vegas recognized

You can’t have a Flamingo room without recognizing the hotel’s signature pink bird. Each renovated room has framed flamingo art (some in unusual poses, like the one you see above) that’ll remind you of the hotel’s trademark. Bonus: Before you enter your room, take a close look at your room number plate. The inspiration of the background is the flamingo’s famous pink feathers. Flamingos all day, every day baby.

Need to visit the bathroom? You’re in for a real treat. Slide the door shut and you’ll discover a fun vintage Vegas collage. If people ask what’s taking you so long in here, you have a good reason why. That or you’re enjoying a nice long shower, which leads us to our next favorite thing…

3. Awesome bathroom amenities

Besides the cool bathroom door, the newly renovated Flamingo rooms have other neat features. The walk-in shower has a convenient shampoo, conditioner and soap dispenser. The rain shower head is also a sweet amenity. We all want to feel like we’re under a waterfall while getting squeaky clean, right? Additionally, the make-up mirror and bright lighting makes it easy getting ready for a night out in town.

4. A cool hangout zone

Sure, plopping on your bed after a jam-packed day or evening is normal but if you have your own living space, you can save the bed strictly for night-night time. Depending on the size of room you book (or if you’re choosing between one king bed or two queens), each of the rooms have either a mini-sectional couch or chaise. All couches are right by the window, giving you a splendid view of the city’s outdoor excitement. We can easily sprawl out on any of these for a few hours. If you’re looking to splurge just a little bit, the 550-square-foot Premium room has a generous-sized living space complete with a 65-inch HDTV.

5. Plenty of room types available

The last of the 1,280 rooms will be done by April 2018. Look for a new one on your next Vegas trip. Depending if you’re coming here for a girl’s weekend, honeymoon or any other special occasion, you can’t go wrong with any of the renovated rooms. Each room, whether it’s a Standard, Executive or Premium (ranging from 350 to 550 square feet), embodies the vintage-meets-cool spirit. These pictures may have already wowed you, but trust us — you’ll still want to see the rooms for yourself.

The Flamingo has more than 3,500 rooms total. Several other Caesars Entertainment hotels have had room revamps, including Harrah’s Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and Paris Las Vegas. Check out a new room today.

About The Author

I live for a crazy Vegas adventure, but not in ways you may think. Sure, our nightlife scene is all fun and dandy, but I love discovering all of the city’s vegan options, relaxing in hotel rooms and seeing the best concerts – no matter how big or small the crowd may be. Since I’ve ditched the rain in Seattle two decades ago, I graduated from UNLV and covered Las Vegas entertainment articles for Vegas.com, the LA Times and our very own Total Vegas Blog. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me spending time with my husband, toddler and two pets.
