The historic Flamingo Las Vegas is getting a new look.

Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced today that the hotel will undergo a $90 million renovation of 1,270 rooms. The work is slated to begin in late August and the first guests in the new rooms are expected in November 2017. All rooms are expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2018.

The updated rooms will have a contemporary, chic look. The rooms, designed by Forrest Perkins, were inspired to “sparkle like glitter and shine like champagne,” with gold colors and bright accents in the Flamingo’s signature pink color.

The Flamingo Las Vegas recently celebrated its 70th birthday and continues to give visitors an authentic Vegas experience.

“Flamingo Las Vegas is an iconic resort filled with 70 years of rich history and unforgettable experiences,” said Bob Morse, President of Hospitality for Caesars Entertainment. “The renovated rooms pay homage to the property’s past, while also giving it a fresh and modern new look.”

The resort offers more than 3,500 guest rooms and suites and features a sprawling 15-acre pool and wildlife habitat complete with waterfalls, island-like vegetation and tropical wildlife.

It’s also home to entertainers including Donny & Marie, Legends in Concert, Piff the Magic Dragon and X Burlesque.

The room renovations at Flamingo Las Vegas are part of an extensive renovation plan from Caesars Entertainment. In 2016, the company upgraded more than 4,800 rooms at four of its Las Vegas resorts, including Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Paris Las Vegas and Harrah’s Las Vegas. By the end of this year, more than 50 percent of Las Vegas rooms at Caesars properties will have been upgraded since 2014.
