Whew. Writing that headline nearly gave us a hernia. The things we do for you.

The ongoing sacrifices of this Las Vegas blog continue with today’s exclusive video of a bikini-clad bartender, Raechel, at the Flamingo Las Vegas pool working her mixology magic on a little something called the (cue distant drums) Mai Tai Cooler.

Sorry about the “bikini bartender” thing, Raechel, but it sure was an attention-grabber, wasn’t it?

Flamingo bartender

Raechel, everyone. Everyone, Raechel.

During our recent visit to the Flamingo, we fell deeply in love with Raechel for several reasons. She has a bubbly personality, for one. She also tends to do very, very generous pours.

If you’re a stickler for details, the Flamingo’s Mai Tai Cooler contains Malibu coconut rum, Hiram Walker creme de banana (French for “we’re not going there”), grenadine, pineapple and orange juices. We were going to ask Raechel about the proportions of those various liquids, but we were a tad distracted. Just watch the video again and you’ll figure it out.

The Mai Tai Cooler will ding you a not-horrible $14 for a 12-ounce cup, but we prefer getting the souvenir cup, so that runs $20. Plus the $20 tip for Raechel, of course. What, you’re just going to put it in a slot machine, anyway. Lighten up! It’s Vegas.

Flamingo cocktail cup

Yes, we also fell in love with this souvenir cup.

Let us know what you think of the Mai Tai Cooler. We personally loved it. Or would have, if it were not completely unprofessional to drink on the job.

We asked Raechel to make a few more cocktails, so we are likely to share those videos in the coming days and weeks. In the meantime, stop by the Flamingo pool and say “hello.” Tell her the Pulse of Vegas blog sent you. And, yes, we’re going to honor the restraining order, in case she asks.
