(Update: We hear this event has been postponed. No additional details at this time. We’d just remove this post, but since every word we write is solid gold, we’ll just leave it up, thanks.)

Spitfire comic and Flamingo Vegas headliner Vinnie Favorito is slated to serve as roast master for what is sure to be a colorfully-vocabularied (not a real word), drag-tastic (also not a real term, but should be) roast of trailblazing Vegas icon Frank Marino on Sep. 23.

Frank Marino, star of Imperial Palace’s “Divas Las Vegas,” will be roasted in honor of his amazing, 25-year-long run as a performer on the Vegas Strip. The self-proclaimed “People’s Diva” will be honored, and, as they say in the business, “ripped a new one,” by a string of celebrity friends and Vegas entertainers.

The event, inside the main showroom at Imperial Palace, will feature celebrity guests, and will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Coinciding with the 25-year milestone, Sept. 23 also marks Marino’s 20,000th performance. It’s estimated he has performed in front of more than 10 million fans from around the world.

The roast kicks off at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available at the Imperial Palace box office, online or by calling (888) 777-7664.
