Project Linq: You Didn’t Hear About It Here

Everyone seems to be talking about the Linq development project, the alleged $500 million development which will allegedly link the center-Strip Imperial Palace and Flamingo Vegas. The one that will also allegedly feature a 550-foot observation wheel that will have 28 “cabins” with a capacity of 40 people each. Yes, that one.

We hear from reliable sources, not our own, that Clark County commissioners recently approved the land use and design for “Project Linq.”

Linq project

We honestly have no idea where this rendering came from.

We also hear “officials say construction for the 326,000-square-foot project will take 18 months and create 3,000 construction jobs. Project Linq should be complete in 2013 and is expected to create 1,500 permanent jobs.” How allegedly exciting is that?

You won’t hear about it here, however, even though this is the Las Vegas blog of Caesars Entertainment. Yep, it’s a “no comment” situation. Thusly, we won’t be commenting. Why is there no comment? We have no idea. We are a Las Vegas blog, not a “60 Minutes.”

Let’s just say you also won’t be seeing renderings of what is alleged to be part of the plans for Linq in this blog. Like the one above. Or this one.

Linq Las Vegas

Let's just forget this rendering ever happened.

You will probably also not see links to stories about the Linq project in every other publication on Earth. Especially links to stories in the Las Vegas Sun, or on or at Vegas, Inc.

Man, not commenting takes a whole lot less time to blog about than actual commenting. So, we’re kind of digging it.
