Rio’s VooDoo Beach summer concert series comes to a (bittersweet) end on Oct. 22 with a free poolside concert featuring Our Lady Peace, an alternative, Canadian rock band that’s inspired comparisons to The Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

Gratuitous VooDoo Beach shot. You're welcome.

Our Lady Peace’s members are Raine Maida (vocals, acoustic guitar), Duncan Coutts (bass), Jeremy Taggart (percussion) and Steve Mazur (guitar). The most recent of their seven studio albums was “Burn Burn,” released earlier this year.

Find out more about the band at their official site.

Free and open to the public, based on capacity. Guests must be 18 and older (with valid ID). The show’s at 8:00 p.m., and doors open at 5:30 p.m. Local bands As Yet Unbroken and Searchlight are also scheduled.

It’s the last free concert at VooDoo Beach for the summer, so don’t miss out!
