If you’re not a fan of mac and cheese, juicy burgers, messy hot wings and other calorie-packed comfort food, then this place is not for you.

But, if all of these plates make your mouth water, then you’re in for a treat. This morning, Vegas native and celebrity chef Guy Fieri greeted fans for the opening of his new Las Vegas restaurant, Guy Fieri’s Vegas & Bar opening April 17th at The Quad. UNLV’s marching band performed “Viva Las Vegas” right before his grand entrance.

Guy Fieri's Vegas Kitchen & Bar Welcome Event

Guy Fieri serves the crowd his award-winning burger at The Quad Resort & Casino. Restaurant officially opens Thursday, April 17th.

“We are going to rock the house!” Fieri told his fans. “The ‘Drive In and Dives’ is just a show. I’m just a dude. You’re the ones who make it happen. You write in and you tell me about it. And that’s where a lot of my style of influence comes from. I listen, I taste all over the country. What you’ll find it Guy Fieri in Vegas is going to be all the big, bold, righteous, funky flavors…that’s what’s going downtown in Flavor Town!”

Fieri started grilling his famous mac ‘n cheese burgers, right on the patio. He even reached over and shared these bites with a handful of fans. What a generous guy!

After all of the outdoor excitement, Fieri stepped inside the restaurant and shared the inspiration behind a few of his dishes. He explained while his plates are “quick, fast, easy,” they’re still “complicated, rich, deep.” If you ever had fondue before, this Vegas eatery puts a crazy spin to it – instead of measly bits of bread, each breadstick is wrapped in pepperoni. Plus, you’re dipping it in a four-cheese fondue.

The high ceilings, natural lighting and swanky design make Guy Fieri’s new Las Vegas restaurant an awesome place to dine. The skull-designed napkins add a fun touch. Fun fact: This design is actually based on one of Fieri’s tattoos.

“You’re in the city of indulgence,” Fieri said. “Tell me this isn’t going to make you stay!”

The 6,500-square-foot dining space seats 200 and has outdoor seating available. And since it’s right by Harrah’s Carnaval Court, you’ll catch every ounce of excitement. In less than two weeks, you’ll get to enjoy all the creative, flavor-packed dishes Fieri is so famous for.

Take a look at the food and drink galore below. Everything is made in-house.

And of course, you’ll need to wash down your meal with a drink. Not only will Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar have 16 craft beers and 12 different cocktails, but it’ll be offer the first frozen shot bar with eight different flavors. Since this blogger’s vegan (her husband did assure her that the Mac & Cheese Burger is delicious), she enjoyed a sample tasting of the Crazy Hagar – a mix of Beach Ball Rum, fresh lime juice, mint, rock candy syrup and a cherry Lambic. It’s this bar’s take on a mojito and boy, it’s mighty fresh!

April 17th couldn’t come soon enough. Opening day will serve dinner only, but after that hours are 10 a.m. – 2 a.m., daily. Get ready to munch!

About The Author

I live for a crazy Vegas adventure, but not in ways you may think. Sure, our nightlife scene is all fun and dandy, but I love hitting up all the city's vegan spots, having staycations and catching shows by my favorite musical acts. Since I've ditched rainy Seattle 20+ years ago, I graduated from UNLV and covered Las Vegas hotel and entertainment articles for, the LA Times, Frommer's and our very own Total Vegas Blog. When I'm not writing, you'll find me hanging with my two girls, along with our shih-tzu and tiger cat.

Hi Erik, none that we have been told. It would probably be worth it to stop by on the 14th or 15th and see if it’s soft opened!

    Hi John,
Guy Fieri’s restaurant almost seems like its own world! It sits right on Las Vegas Blvd so you dont even have to step inside a casino. Valet at Caesars Palace across the street, walk over and get a window table!
