Basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman chose Las Vegas to celebrate his 50th birthday (on July 19), and come to think of it, why wouldn’t he? It’s Vegas, baby!

The occasionally outrageous Rodman got the party started at Sugar Factory American Brasserie inside Paris Las Vegas, enjoying the restaurant’s massive King Kong ice cream sundae as his birthday dessert (pictured below).

Always the showman, Rodman went back into the restaurant’s kitchen area, signing a stack of Sugar Factory dinner plates to pass out to fans.

The always-understated Dennis Rodman.

Dennis Rodman, now retired from basketball, is a five-time NBA champ. Yes, we read that in the news release. We are a Las Vegas blog, not a Marv Albert.

Rodman then took in some nightlife upstairs at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens. He and his entourage hung out on Chateau’s terrace in a private cabana.

Confirmed: Yes, Rodman “made it rain.” And, yes, we realize we’re showing our age by putting quotation marks around “made it rain.”

Mr. Rodman, please step away from the go-go dancer.

One additional item: The Interwebs claim Rodman’s birthday is May 13, although he celebrated his birthday at Paris on July 19. Hey, we don’t have to understand everything. We have a Liberal Arts degree.

One thing we do understand is where to find out more information about Sugar Factory and Chateau Nightclub.
