There’s a lot to love about Planet Hollywood, but we forced ourselves to pick five.

1. Central Location

Planet Hollywood has a great location on The Strip. Not too far north, not too far south. If you’re into shopping, don’t miss The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.

The longitude and latitude of Planet Hollywood are 36.1100° N, 115.1710° W.

2. Movie Memorabilia

One of the fun things about Planet Hollywood is the rooms are decked out with movie themes, including authentic memorabilia from famous films. Bonus: Portraits of your favorite stars can be seen throughout the hotel.

One of our favorite movie star portraits at Planet Hollywood is one of Leslie Nielsen.

3. Great Dining Options

At Planet Hollywood, there’s dining to satisfy any craving. Try Gordon Ramsay’s Burger, Pink’s, PBR Rock Bar, The Strip House and Koi, among others, and the hotel’s Spice Market Buffet has been voted “Best Buffet on The Strip.” (By this blog. But other people like it a lot, too.)

Don't miss the cupcake station at the Spice Market Buffet.

4. Sports Book and Poker Room

The race and sports book at Planet Hollywood has a great vibe, and the poker room? It’s out in the open, so you can keep an eye on all the casino action. Oh, and it’s lucky.

The odds of getting a royal flush in poker is 1 in 649,740.

5. Bikini Contests

From what we understand, each Saturday at 3:00 p.m., Planet Hollywood hosts a bikini contest for cash prizes.

Thanks to Dave Proctor for the pics. Rough job there, Dave.
