Here’s to 10 years of big bites!

Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appetit celebrated its 10th anniversary last weekend, April 28-May 1, with a food frenzy. The top Las Vegas celebrity chefs all gathered to cook decadent dinners, participate in the Grand Tasting and feed thrilled fans.

1. When the schedule is released, we always circle the date of The Grand Tasting. Held at the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis at Caesars Palace, it’s a can’t miss Uncork’d event. This year, more than 50 renowned chefs and restaurants participated.

2. Wolfgang Puck was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for trailblazing the culinary scene in Las Vegas. He opened Spago, the first celebrity chef restaurant in The Forum Shops at Caesars back in 1992.

3. Hell’s Kitchen season 15 winner Ariel Malone was at the Grand Tasting with mentor Gordon Ramsay. She’ll take over the kitchen at BLT Steak in Bally’s Las Vegas.

4. The Cromwell’s Giada De Laurentiis and Salvatore Calabrese made their event debut with brunch and a mixology class. We were excited to see Tyra Banks at Giada’s brunch.

5. Diners were blindfolded and led through a multi-course lunch for the Dine in the Dark: A Sensory Lunch at Bacchanal Buffet event.

6. In honor of Caesars Palace’s 50th anniversary, chefs Gordon Ramsay, Guy Savoy and Francois Payard put on a cooking show at the Chefs of the Gods event. Ramsay kicked it off with a multi-dish demonstration, Payard discussed his famous chocolates and Savoy demonstrated his famous artichoke and black truffle soup.

7. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa hosted a once-in-a-lifetime experience at his Ultimate Omakase dinner at Nobu Restaurant & Lounge. The charity $1,000 a plate dinner benefited the Keep Memory Alive organization.

8. MR CHOW made its Vegas Uncork’d debut with its first Master Series dinner.

9. Old Homestead Steakhouse hosted a “High Steaks Pairings with Vodka and Caviar” event. Greg and Marc Sherry presented a four-course menu pairing dry-aged prime steak, top shelf vodka and premium caviar.

10. We also found out where to buy a premium cigar-the Montecristo Cigar Bar. We spotted Caesars Palace President Gary Selesner, Guy Savoy and Gordon Ramsay at the event’s after party.
