Celebrity brothers Paul and Mark Wahlberg were in Las Vegas yesterday to celebrate the opening of their Wahlburgers Las Vegas restaurant at Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s Las Vegas.

Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg and actor Mark Wahlberg walked the red carpet before a VIP party at the restaurant. Hundreds of fans and celebrity friends like magicians Penn & Teller turned out for the event.

The Wahlbergs were also given a key to the City of Las Vegas from Mayor Carolyn Goodman, who attended with former Mayor Oscar Goodman and, of course, two Las Vegas showgirls.

“If you can make it in Las Vegas, you can make it anywhere,” Mark Wahlberg said as he accepted the key.

The restaurant at Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s is the only West Coast location of the chain. Fans know the restaurant from the Emmy-nominated reality show “Wahlburgers,” which airs on A&E.

“This is the first good location that we found but we want to continue to expand all throughout Vegas so this is the first hopefully of many,” said Mark. “The amount of success we’ve had here has been incredible so we know there’s a big hunger and desire for more.”

Wahlburgers serves a variety of fresh burgers as well as sides and signature items like Mom’s Sloppy Joe, tater tots and creamy frappes and floats.

The Las Vegas restaurant doesn’t have a Vegas-themed burger yet, but Mark said he has an idea for a name for one. “I might have to call it the Drama Burger because it made that ‘Vegas, baby’ saying so popular. But that I would leave to Paul,” he said. I’m building the business, Paul takes care of the menu and the customer experience.”
