The official opening of the new Sugar Factory American Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas happens Mar. 4, but the Sugar Factory retail store is already on its way to being the sweetest new hotspot on the Vegas Strip.

Sugar Factory Paris Vegas

It's a whole new look for the west wing at Paris Vegas.

The brand-spanking-new (hey, it’s at the Paris, so emphasis on “spanking”) storefront cozies right up to Las Vegas Boulevard. The place was packed with candy-seeking shoppers when we stopped by.

Sugar Factory

This blog likes it some new.

A surprise design element at the Sugar Factory includes a convenient walk-up window that faces the driveway into the Paris (see below). The walk-up window serves up a variety of beverages, sandwiches and other goodies.

A walk-up window makes it easy to get your sugar fix.

But the main Sugar Factory “showroom” really grabs the spotlight.

The interior is highlighted with vivid colors and imaginative design elements conjuring up visions of Willy Wonka. But without the comb-over.

In the words of Willy Wonka, "If you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it."

During our visit, the adjoining Sugar Factory American Brasserie restaurant was buzzing, with staff doing a mock dinner service to ensure everything goes according to plan when the establishment opens to the public on Mar. 4. (Rumor has it they’re already open, but it’s probably one of those “soft” opening things.)

Insider goodie: We spoke to one of the Sugar Factory American Brasserie managers and were told there will be a mind-boggling 200 items on the menu. We thought Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace had a lot with 100.

Candy dots. Candy buttons. Whatever you call them, we love 'em.

The Sugar Factory store at Paris Las Vegas is the chain’s largest (there are other locations at Planet Hollywood and the Mirage, find out more) at 6,000-square-feet.

All that space means ample room for confections, apparel, gift baskets and more.

Not everything at Sugar Factory is edible. We won't hold it against them.

The Sugar Factory American Brasserie grand opening on Mar. 4 will boast celebrities galore, including Kim Kardashian, Holly Madison (star of Peepshow at Planet Hollywood and “Holly’s World” on E!), Mel B and David Arquette, among others.

After seeing these, we left a distinct faceprint on the display case. Sorry, Sugar Factory display case-cleaning persons.

Follow Sugar Factory on Twitter, and get all the latest news when you “Like” the Paris Vegas Facebook page, or catch them on Twitter.

Roam around a bit for some surprises, like this charming, secluded room, away from the main Sugar Factory store.

Tooth-decay, schmooth-decay, we say! This is Vegas, so it’s time to go overboard for a Sin City-inspired sugar rush.

You won’t believe the variety of candy, from tried-and-true favorites to treats you’ve never heard of. One of our favorites had to be a giant dispenser calling itself Pucker Powder. It’s like “Pixie Stix Gone Wild.”

Pucker Powder

The colorful powders range from sweet to sour. Like calisthenics for your taste buds.

You get your Pucker Powder receptacle thingy, then dispense the power, creating a colorful stratification of flavors. The sound you hear is this blog’s eyes rolling back into its head.

Pucker Powder

This may just be the greatest invention in the history of Mankind.

Our sweet tooth is currently on cloud nine, personificationwise (probably not a real word).

We can’t wait to get back to the Sugar Factory! The discovery below didn’t hurt, either.

We think this bar, behind Sugar Factory, is new, too. It sits inside the Paris casino, and has a great vibe.
