We’ve gathered so much Vegas scoop, this Las Vegas blog’s head may very well explode. You know, if blogs had heads. Nevermind that. Read on! Or at least skim. We know how you roll.

* A snapshot could be your chance to win a $10,000 New York City shopping spree in the Total Rewards “Jackpot! Now What?” photo contest. Find out more about this fun contest on Facebook. Look for the “Jackpot!” tab.

* Loved (wait for it) this great article about the romantic (get it?) Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas. On a related note, here’s a nice list of “Good First Date Restaurants in Vegas.” Topping the list is the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris. Hey, let’s face it, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant is a great place for any date.

If you had x-ray vision, you could see our favorite table at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant in this photo.

* Bigtime boxing events are coming to the Crown at Rio. Get details on the official site. Upcoming battles involve names like Battease, Santiago, Manauu, Santomauro, Delgado, Lapoint, Hoy and other names we don’t personally recognize, but that will not make their fights any less entertaining, we’re sure.

* Vegas restaurants Joe’s Crab Shack and Zaba’s Mexican Grill host the “Back-to-School Book Drive Extravaganza” in honor of Spread the Word Nevada, a children’s literacy non-profit, Aug. 21-22. Donated books and proceeds support programs to help at-risk children in southern Nevada. Find out more.

* We like when dogs get to go into pools. Clark County is hosting just such an event on Sep. 11 at the Desert Breeze Aquatic Facility. Lap up the specifics.

* Enjoyed this article about “10 Vegas Breakfasts for Less Than $10.” Among the restaurants are Johnny’s Delicatessen at Bally’s, Hash House a Go Go at Imperial Palace, Ocean One Bar and Grille at the Miracle Mile Shops inside Planet Hollywood, La Salsa Cantina at The Forum Shops inside Caesars Palace, the Victorian Room at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall and JJ’s Boulangerie and Le Creperie, both at Paris Las Vegas.

Bonus Hash House a Go Go Factoid: No way you're lifting this burger alone.

* The Miss Universe pageant happens Aug. 23 here in Vegas. Donald Trump just announced the judges. A tough job, but somebody’s got to endure it.

* Below, Caesars Palace’s resident crooner Matt Goss talks to other British people about his upcoming show at Royal Albert Hall in London. Which, we hear, is a huge deal.

* A few words with Barry Manilow about his musical instrument program. Present a new or gently-used musical instrument at the Paris Box Office and receive a complimentary ticket to Barry Manilow for supporting his Manilow Music Project. More news coverage here.

* Aug. 30 to Sep. 5 is Las Vegas Restaurant Week to benefit non-profit Three Square food bank. See all the participating restaurants across the city.

* According to one of our favorite Vegas blogs, Vegas Chatter, Holly Madison’s reality show, “Holly’s World,” has been renewed for another saucy, wacky season. See Holly in Peepshow at Planet Hollywood. A lot of her.

* Former 98 Degrees member, and winner of the second season of “Dancing With the Stars,” Drew Lachey is hosting “The Price is Right Live” at Bally’s. Check out his interview on local TV.

* Sep. 4 is the last show at Monte Carlo for magician Lance Burton. Magician Nathan Burton (no relation), however, is still wowing audiences nightly at Flamingo.

Nathan Burton

We totally did not just mention Nathan Burton so we could post this photo. No way.

* Here’s a sweet review of the World Series of Poker Hold ‘Em Legend iPhone app. Learn more about the World Series of Poker.

* A local news story about the new show, “Vegas! The Show,” at Miracle Mile inside Planet Hollywood. The segment features our new best friend, assuming he drops the restraining order, John Katsilometes. Watch it.

* Actor Steven Weber (“Wings,” “Leaving Las Vegas”) was spotted having dinner Aug. 16 at Strip House at Planet Hollywood. Why anyone would like something called “Leaving Las Vegas,” this blog has no idea.

Strip House

Yes, we take photos of signs. Everyone needs a hobby.

* Rio magicians Penn & Teller recently joined magician David Copperfield to record dialogue for an upcoming episode of “The Simpsons.” This will be Penn & Teller’s second appearance on that show.

* just announced its list of the “Top 10 Celebrity Chef-Owned Restaurants in U.S.” Four Vegas restaurants ranked in the top 10, including Mesa Grill in Caesars Palace. Eat it up. Or something.

* Actress Tori Spelling was recently spotted playing slots in front of Numb, which would be our new favorite place for daiquiris if we were allowed to have a favorite, which we’re not sure we are since we love all of Las Vegas equally, at Caesars Palace.

* What’s on your Vegas “bucket list”? The Las Vegas Review-Journal came up with one. Featured adventures? Enter a World Series of Poker satellite game at the Rio Vegas, see Jubilee! at Bally’s and have your photo taken at Binion’s million dollar display, downtown. Yes, we went. (See below.) It’s free to have your photo taken, too, and you get a sweet, color 8×10. No catches, and it’s an actual million bucks. One more thing scratched off our Las Vegas bucket list!

Million Bucks

The one million dollars at Binion's, the former home of the World Series of Poker. Get a free 8x10 with the stack of cash. A must-do Vegas moment! We love us some free.
