Planning a 12/13/14 wedding in Las Vegas? It’s not too late for that! If you’re planning to put a ring on it next month, this date couldn’t be any better. It’s the last sequential date of the century.  If you’re into numbers, you seriously won’t have this chance until the next lifetime.

Other than having bragging rights to an awesome (and easy-to-remember) wedding date, Las Vegas celebrates  the day by celebrating you. Read what’s in store for your big day at The LINQ’s High Roller.

FREE WEDDING CEREMONY? SURE, WHY NOT!

Located at the end of The LINQ promenade, the 550-foot-tall High Roller will be home to hundreds of weddings and non-stop celebrations. Exchange your vows for free in one of the 28 cabins from 10:11 a.m. – 12:13 p.m. What a great way to tie the knot and celebrate on the world’s tallest observation wheel! With all these simultaneous weddings, love will surely be in the air.

Note: Weddings are actually open to the public and you will share a cabin with others. Free rides are for bride and grooms AND two designated witnesses only, as cabins may include multiple couples being married and officiated at the same time. However, amazing private cabin ceremonies (reserved for you and your loved ones – 40 passengers max ) are available!

How to register

Excited much? You should be. This once-in-a-lifetime ceremony is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pre-registration is encouraged to guarantee your free spot the High Roller. To pre-register to either officiate, wed or renew vows in person, visit the Group Charter entrance at the High Roller on Dec. 3 between 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Those who are unable to attend the open call but are interested in pre-registering can e-mail Chandra Knee at cknee@caesars.com for more information and to register in advance.

On 12/13/14, you’ll need 1) a legit marriage license 2) state or government-issued ID and 3) love for fun and adventure!  A complimentary champagne toast and commemorative photo comes with your free wedding ceremony.

While free weddings begin at 10:11 a.m.,  you might want to arrive a couple hours early to secure your place. (Shout out to the early birds!)  The first licensed-to-wed couples will begin boarding the one of 28 circular cabins of the High Roller at precisely 10:11a.m.

These round-the-wheel free weddings will  continue for two hours and two minutes. The last round will happen at exactly 12:13 p.m. (However, even after 12:13 p.m., private weddings may continue or begin.)

About The Author

I live for a crazy Vegas adventure, but not in ways you may think. Sure, our nightlife scene is all fun and dandy, but I love discovering all of the city's vegan options, relaxing in hotel rooms and seeing the best concerts - no matter how big or small the crowd may be. Since I've ditched the rain in Seattle two decades ago, I graduated from UNLV and covered Las Vegas entertainment articles for Vegas.com, the LA Times and our very own Total Vegas Blog. When I'm not writing, you'll find me spending time with my husband, toddler and two pets.

  1. What are the requirements to renew your vowels on 12/13/14 after a beautiful 45 years of Marriage. We just moved to Vegas about 2 weeks for our retirement years.
Also we are both Seniors in Handicap carts, what a thrill this would be. I personally feel you should have a little room for us.
Since we are already married, we should not need a license.

    Thank You,
    Michael R. & Margie F. Parr

  2. Wonderful idea! Have been a minister in Las Vegas and I have performed over 12,000 weddings in our great city. My book on Amazon.com, I Do In Las Vegas, holds 88 stories about some of my most memorable weddings – plus 7 wedding ceremonies – complimenting the many various types of couples for whom I’ve performed ceremonies: at many of the local casino chapels, hot air balloons, helicopters, banquets…. but never on the Linq. I am excited to have the opportunity to add this experience to my resume! I congratulate Nevada on its decision to recognize all couples who love each other… and I feel privileged to be able to participate in Blessing their ceremonies.

  3. Licensed Nevada Minister interested in High Roller wedding on 12/13/14. 39 Years wedding experience and has performed weddings on the High Roller before.

  4. Inform me if you are interested.

  16. Don Humphrey

The above states “Bring all your friends….” – what are the stipulations on that? I understand they’d have to pay to ride. Is there a limit to how many can come? Do they simply purchase their tickets and get in line with their friends who are in line to get married?

  17. Jeannie Garcia

Hi, Don! If you want to invite your own wedding party (one cabin holds up to 40 people max), private cabins are available for a fee. Since these weddings are open to the public, couples will likely have an audience in their pod. If however, couples bring a friend or two to join them on the pod, we don’t see why they wouldn’t be allowed in the same cabin. In either case, friends would have to pay and the free admission is solely open to couples getting married on 12/13/14.

  18. Good morning,
My name is Reverend Daniele Karstedt with Elegant Vegas Weddings. I was unable to attend your audition on November 20th 2014. My question is, are you still looking for NV licensed ministers for December 13, 2014 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.?

Thank you for your time in advance and I look forward to working with you.

    Have a happy holiday season.

  19. Hi Emma,
In addition to my question whether you’re still looking for licensed ministers. Over the years I have done many weddings all over the valley (not on the High Roller…yet) including Pahrump, Sky Dive, many many of the hotels and casinos and golf courses ..plus. If you have met Pastor Pete (he is my father) then you know at Elegant Vegas Wedding we believe that it’s your wedding your way. I would love to be apart of the weddings and renewals on 12/13/14 on the High Roller.

Thank you again and have a great day.

    Rev. Daniele Karstedt

  20. Emma Trotter

Hi there, thank you for reading! Yes I believe there may be another open call for ministers for the 12/13 event. Let me look into it and get back to you. Thanks!

  21. carla

    Hi,

I am trying to find out if there Is a fee(regular ticket needed) or not for couples looking to renew their vows? I called and was told I needed to buy a ticket, now I am reading this blog and see it is free. I also saw on the website 2 weeks ago that I could pay $100 for a wedding/renewal on this date if so is that true and what is required and what do I receive? Bottom line I would like to have my 15 year wedding renewal on the high roller and not have to wait in line and hope we will make it on. what if any options to I have to make this special day happen. It will just be myself and my husband who does not know about this because I am trying to surprise him.
    Thanks, Carla

  22. So you how do couples sign up?! Is it a first come, first serve kind of deal?
