Las Vegas, Nev. (Tuesday, March 3, 2015) – Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment are pleased to announce that Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga will perform at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 7 at 10 a.m. PT.   Bennett and Gaga return to Las Vegas, where they initially opened their Cheek To Cheek tour at two sold out shows on Dec. 30 and 31, 2014, and became the hottest ticket on the Strip and received critical acclaim.

Cheek To Cheek, released in September 2014, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and took home a Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 57th annual show last month.  Bennett remains the oldest artist in music industry history to have an album on the #1 spot on the Billboard charts. Cheek To Cheek marks Lady Gaga’s third consecutive #1 album release in just over three years, and makes her one of only two female artists this decade to have three #1 albums. The Las Vegas performances will be accompanied by a big band along with each artist’s jazz ensembles who will also serve as special guests for the evening.

Cheek To Cheek features classic jazz standards sung by Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett in a combination of vocal duets and solo performances. From the title track, to “But Beautiful”, to “I Won’t Dance,” the record showcases the chemistry between the two artists, who span 60 years in age.

As Bennett says, “What I really love about being a jazz singer is that jazz artists are very creative, very honest, from phrase to phrase” and Lady Gaga adds, “We wanted to make something that sounded perfect because of the quality of the emotion…the honesty.” Cheek To Cheek also features the Lady Gaga solo “Lush Life,” accompanied by Tony Bennett’s solo of “Sophisticated Lady.” The two songs complement each other, as Lady Gaga explains, “I loved making ‘Lush Life,’ Tony mentored me emotionally through the process,” and Tony Bennett adds, “I sang ‘Sophisticated Lady’ to answer her on ‘Lush Life,’ and because Duke Ellington wrote it, who collaborated with Billy Strayhorn, the writer of ‘Lush Life.’” Recorded in New York City, Cheek To Cheek took over a year to complete and features jazz musicians associated with both artists including members of Bennett’s quartet: Mike Renzi, Gray Sargent, Harold Jones and Marshall Wood as well pianist Tom Ranier. Jazz trumpeter Brian Newman, a long-time friend and colleague of Lady Gaga appears on the album as well with his NYC-based jazz quintet. Jazz soloists on selected tracks include tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano, trumpeter George Rabbai and flutist Paul Horn, who passed away in July.

Tickets for the Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga performances at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino range in price from $69 – $250, and will go on sale Saturday, March 7 at 10 a.m. PT at, the Zappos Theater box office and charge by phone 1-800-745-3000.

Tony Bennett is an artist who moves the hearts and touches the souls of audiences. He’s not just the singer’s singer but also an international treasure honored by the United Nations with its Citizen of the World award, which aptly describes the scope of his accomplishments. The son of a grocer and Italian-born immigrant, Anthony Dominick Benedetto was born on August 3, 1926, in the Astoria section of Queens, New York. He attended the High School of Industrial Arts in Manhattan, where he nurtured his dual passions, singing and painting. His boyhood idols Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole were big influences on Bennett’s easy, natural singing style. Tony sang while waiting tables as a teenager then performed with military bands throughout his overseas Army duty during World War II. After the war, the GI Bill enabled him to study vocal technique at the American Theatre Wing School. He first sang in a nightclub in 1946, sitting in with trombonist Tyree Glenn at the Shangri-La in Astoria. With worldwide record sales in the millions, Tony has received eighteen Grammy Awards including the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, is a Kennedy Center Honoree and a NEA Jazz Master. The MTV generation took to Tony Bennett during his appearance with the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the 1993 MTV Video Awards. He appeared on MTV Unplugged and the recording of the same name earned him the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. “Tony Bennett has not just bridged the generation gap,” observed The New York Times, “he has demolished it. He has connected with a younger crowd weaned on rock. And there have been no compromises.”
