A Toast Before You Go: Pregame At These Vegas Bars

In Vegas, the best way to get ready for a night of partying is by, well, partying. Nightclubs don’t get going until late and you definitely don’t want to be the first one there, so you need a spot to pregame. Or maybe you’re on your way to a show and you want to get psyched up with a few cocktails first.

We have some favorite Las Vegas bars where we like to raise a glass before heading out for a big night in Vegas. Here’s where to go:

The Heart Bar at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino

Looking for a place to get pumped up before seeing Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, The Backstreet Boys or one of the other acts in Zappos Theater? The Heart Bar, as the name suggests, is in the heart of all the action in the Planet Hollywood casino and it’s nice and close to Zappos Theater entrance.

Just look for the giant glowing, color-changing crystal ball in the casino and you’ll find Heart Bar.

Sit at the circular bar and do some people watching or kick back in one of the lounge-style booths. There’s DJ-spun music and you can order bottle service. Choose from bottles of select vodka, tequila and bourbon. Bottle range from $39 – $59, which is a bargain when it comes to Vegas bottle service. If bottles aren’t your thing, Heart Bar serves all of your other favorites.

Flirt Lounge at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino

Flirt Lounge at Rio

There’s no better place to get ready for a night with the Chippendales than Flirt Lounge. The bar was created especially with women in mind.

The bar features soft lighting, plush seating and purple colors. The restrooms are decked out with seating areas and well-lit makeup mirrors.

At the bar you’ll find lots of sweet, tropical-inspired drinks served by an all-male wait staff. Hang out after the show and you might catch a glimpse of some of the cast.

Harrah’s Las Vegas Piano bar

Piano Bar at Harrah's

If you’re planning to rock out with Tenors of Rock at Harrah’s Las Vegas, start out at the Piano Bar. Think of it as the opening act before the main concert.

You can listen to the dueling piano acts or get up there and pretend to be a rock star yourself with Rusty’s All-Star Las Vegas Karaoke.

Get your liquid courage from the bar and order a shot or any other classic drink you want.

Alto Bar at Caesars Palace

Crown of the Gods at Alto Bar.

OMNIA Nightclub is one of the hottest clubs in town and you’ll probably want to arrive at a fashionably late hour so you’ll need somewhere to hang out beforehand. That’s where Alto Bar comes in. The contemporary new bar is right across from OMNIA, making it the perfect spot to get warmed up.

Alto Bar has a live DJ on weekends and you can kick back at the bar or in one of the private booths, some of which are equipped with personal TVs.

Drinks include classic cocktails, beer, wine and bubbles.

We love the signature Crown of the Gods, made with Crown Royal Canadian whisky, lime syrup, blood orange liqueur and aromatic bitters. It’s served over an ice block with a twist of orange and a Filthy cherry.

Another top choice is the Ms. Molly with Tanqueray gin, Lillet Rosé, Giffard Pink Grapefruit liqueur, fresh lemon and Moët Rosé Impérial Champagne.

Bound Las Vegas Bar at The Cromwell

The Breakfast Martini at Bound.

This sophisticated lobby bar is a great place to hang and have cocktails before you head to Drai’s Nightclub.

Grab a seat at the bar or sink into one of the plush seats and enjoy live music starting at 9 p.m. The bar’s nightly social hour also begins at 9 p.m. and runs until 1 a.m. You can sip on $10 Don Julio, Crown Royal and Ciroc drinks.

Bound features a carefully-curated menu of cocktails with a wide variety fit for every taste.

For something different, try the Breakfast Martini. Inspired by the breakfast staple, the Breakfast Martini cocktail is gin-based and mixed with orange marmalade.

We also love the Champagne cocktails like the Bunny Bubbles. Yes, it was inspired by Playboy Bunnies and it’s made with Benedictine, raspberry puree, fresh-pressed pomegranate and Moët & Chandon Impérial Champagne.

Le Central Bar at Paris Las Vegas

Pregame and chill at the Las Vegas Bar - Le Central at Paris

The name says it all. Le Central is a great centralized spot to meet up and chill with your friends if you have a big night out planned at Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop.

We love the funky chandeliers and the open, center bar concept that makes it perfect for people watching. Try a glass of wine, draft beer or a specialty cocktail like The Dignitary with Bacardi Superior Rum, Pavan Liqueur, Vieux Carre Absinthe and pink peppercorn-honey syrup.

Pro tip: This is also a good spot for post-clubbing drinks. Le Central has a happy hour that runs from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. You can get $8 select specialty cocktails like the Soiree Bloody Mary or the Sunshine Screwdriver.
