Given that Las Vegas attracts more than 40 million visitors each year, the variety of people to see (and be seen) up and down the Strip is endless. It’s no wonder, then, that people watching in Las Vegas is often as entertaining as any show. Often, the ideal spots to enjoy the parade of interesting faces from around the world also happen to be some of the best restaurants and bars in Las Vegas. But which have the best views of the masses? We have a few ideas…

Serendipity 3

This whimsical Caesars Palace restaurant—much like its original New York City location— is decorated like an old-school ice cream parlor, but don’t let that fool you. Both Serendipity 3’s food menu (featuring such items as The Hangover omelet and the Las Vegas Strip steak sandwich) and cocktail selection appeal to adult tastes (though a Frrrozen Hot Chocolate appeals to all ages!). In particular, its Strip-facing outdoor bar and patio provide not only an al fresco gathering spot for drinks and grub, but also views of the bustling Roman Plaza, where the people watching is superb.

Mon Ami Gabi

OK, we know it seems like we use every article on this blog as an excuse to write about Mon Ami Gabi’s patio, but there’s a darn good reason: It’s one of the most serene spots on the Las Vegas Strip, period. And its prime location, right outside Paris Las Vegas and across from the fountains of Bellagio, makes it the perfect spot to sit back, enjoy delicious French cuisine, a glass of wine, and a view of international tourists shuffling past on Las Vegas Boulevard.

VISTA Cocktail Lounge

One of the newest—and most beautiful—venues to join the Las Vegas Strip bar scene, VISTA Cocktail Lounge is a plush, refined gathering spot located just off the Caesars Palace casino floor. Although its high-tech LED screens displaying morphing, international skylines provide plenty of visual stimuli, VISTA’s elevated view of the casino and close proximity to both The Colosseum concert venue and OMNIA Nightclub make it an ideal spot for people watching—all while enjoying expertly crafted cocktails and a sexy, club-like vibe.

Heart Bar

This appropriately named lounge is, indeed, located in the heart of the always-buzzing Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. But more than just being centrally located, Heart Bar also pumps life into the casino, with its DJ-spun music providing the pulse of Planet Hollywood. With lounge-style booths (replete with available bottle service) and a circular central bar, this hotspot is a magnet for people wanting to see and be seen, whether making a night of it or getting pumped for a concert at Zappos Theater.

Want to watch the beautiful people strutting their way into one of Las Vegas’ hottest nightclubs—or maybe stumbling their way out? Then swing by Caesars Palace to check out celebrity chef Brian Malarkey’s New American bistro Searsucker, located just a few steps from the entrance to OMNIA Nightclub. Although Searsucker’s Thomas Scoos-designer interior is certainly drool-worthy, so are the views from its bar—both of the buzzing scene in the restaurant and the hot action on the adjacent casino floor.

Carnaval Court

Wedged between Harrah’s Las Vegas and The LINQ Hotel & Casino, Carnaval Court isn’t just a fun, outdoor venue for letting your hair down while flair bartenders mix cocktails with aerial daring and some of Las Vegas’ finest cover bands rock the stage—it’s also an ideal location for watching the throngs of Strip-walkers who pass by every hour of the day. This Carnaval is truly a carnival.

Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar

There are a lot of great spots on the Las Vegas Strip for people watching—um, duh, we just rattled off a list of them—but there’s only one that’ll take you to Flavortown while checking out the action. Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar at The LINQ Las Vegas offers more than just the celeb chef’s hearty American comfort food. It also features a 200-seat patio sprawling out onto the Las Vegas Strip, so not only can you watch what’s happening on Sin City’s main drag, but passersby can watch you while working up a hunger.
