On Sep. 4, Las Vegas welcomed throngs of Wisconsin Badgers (college football) fans as their beloved team took on the UNLV Rebels at Sin City’s Sam Boyd Stadium.

In the end, the Badgers beat the Rebels, 41-21. The things we do to ensure our Las Vegas visitors are happy!

Wisconsin Badgers

Badgers? Meh. This blog is partial to wolverines. We love that movie.

About 15,000 Badgers fans attended the actual game, but it’s estimated 60,000 fans visited Vegas during the Labor Day weekend. Wisconsin is obviously serious about its college football.

In honor of all the Wisconsinites in town, O’Sheas on the Strip hosted a no-cover block party featuring gridiron-inspired specials, food (including brats, sauerkraut and corn on the cob in the husk), drinks and Bucky-emblazoned merchandise. (Bucky is the mascot of the University of Wisconsin.)

Badger fans traveled 1,500 miles to, y'know, buy T-shirts and corn on the cob. Everyone needs a hobby!

The block party also boasted live entertainment, including bands One Pin Short and Vegas U2, a U2 tribute band.

Congrats to the Badgers for winning the game our UNLV Rebels totally threw just to be nice.

Take a look at more photos from the O’Sheas festivities.
