Labor Day doesn’t mean you have to labor behind the grill flipping burgers. Spend Labor Day in Las Vegas and move your feet to the hits of Britney Spears, Calvin Harris, Armin Van Buuren and Trey Songz instead. Vegas does holiday weekends right and don’t worry about missing the backyard barbecue because you can still party poolside with high-energy DJs at GO Pool at Flamingo Las Vegas. If you’re still missing those barbecue favorites, several buffets will offer special Labor Day Weekend favorites like BBQ baby back ribs and potato salad.

Daytime fun by the pool:

  • The Gossy Room at Cleopatra’s Barge, also at Caesars Palace, features crooner Matt Goss putting his spin on classics like “I’ve Got the World on a String” and “Luck be a Lady,” among originals like “Lovely Las Vegas.” A nine-piece band and The Dirty Virgins, aka some of the hottest burlesque dancers in town, back the British vocalist.
