Spring has sprung in Las Vegas and it’s the perfect time to visit. April will be a busy month with everything from the college basketball championship to National Beer Day, the Emerge Impact + Music Conference and Easter brunches.

We’ve also got all of the hottest headliners in town taking the stage in April including Jennifer Lopez, Elton John and Pitbull. Here’s what’s going on in Vegas in April.

College Basketball

It’s down to the championship college basketball game on April 2. Catch all of the action at exclusive Hoops on the Strip viewing parties inside sports books and sports bars around town. Look for food and drink specials as you watch the game on state-of-the-art screens and TVS.

Virgil’s Real Barbecue at The LINQ Promenade is also offering drink packages, authentic barbecue, multiple TVs, giveaways and more during the game.

 

Enjoy a nice Sunday Easter Brunch at the Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood - Things To Do in Las Vegas in April

Easter Brunch

If you’re looking for a special way to celebrate Easter, head to Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Easter weekend for brunch from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

You can get your fill of honey glazed ham, lemon herb chicken, roasted turkey breast, steamed mussels, eggs Benedict, cheese tamales, pork carnitas, buttermilk pancakes, Belgian waffles, desserts and much more.

GIADA at The Cromwell will be serving a special Easter tasting menu for $55 per person, which includes a pastry, antipasti platter, arugula salad, a choice of entree (basil spaghetti, eggplant Parmesan or crab cake Benedict) and a choice of dessert (lemon ricotta cookie ice cream sandwich, leaning tower of chocolate and espresso or limoncello souffle).

Comedy Cellar

The legendary Comedy Cellar will open its first West Coast location at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on April 5. The club is known for discovering comedians like Dave Chapelle, Ray Romano, Amy Schumer and Chris Rock.

As the most successful and longest-running comedy club in New York City history, the Cellar has been hailed by the toughest critics in the world.

Catch Mo Amer, Kyle Dunnigan, Jessica Kirson and Nathan McIntosh April 5 – 8. Showtimes are Thursday – Friday and Sunday, 7 and 9 p.m. and Saturday, 7, 9 and 11 p.m. Tickets start at $45 plus taxes and fees.

National Beer Day

Raise a glass! It’s National Beer Day on April 7. Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, is celebrating with beer buckets, priced at $23, and an array of draft beer including a Sammy’s Red Head or a Wasatch Off Duty IPA, priced at $7.

There will also be special dishes for beer day like Sammy’s Tequila Shrimp, with Baja shrimp, garlic and Cabo Wabo tequila-lime sauce, served with Mexican-style rice, priced at $24.95 or the restaurant’s signature nacho platter, priced at $14.95.

BEER PARK at Paris Las Vegas will celebrate National Beer Day with day-fresh Budweiser out of copper kegs sent directly from Budweiser’s brewery in Fairfield, Calif. Plus, the popular rooftop bar and grill always offers more than 100 beer selections, including 36 drafts on tap.

The LINQ Promenade is also a great place to visit for National Beer Day with more than 300 types of beers available at the restaurants and bars. Multiple locations offer large selections of beers including ameriCAN Beer & Cocktails, Yard House and Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery.

Emerge Impact + Music Conference

Music fans won’t want to miss the Emerge Impact + Music Conference April 6 – 8.  Emerge combines music, art, and speaking to highlight the unique perspectives making a big impact in our world. Enjoy three days of showcases, concerts and installations. The lineup includes artists like OK GO, Ekoh, Rhye, The Dirty Hooks and JMSN.

Events will take place at multiple venues including Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas at The LINQ Promenade, the Mat Franco Theater at The LINQ Hotel & Casino, Harrah’s Cabaret, Harrah’s Showroom, Bugsy’s Cabaret at Flamingo Las Vegas, the Donny and Marie Showroom at Flamingo and more. BEER PARK at Paris Las Vegas will host a viewing party for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 223 fight between Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson and Yana “The Eagle” Kunitskaya on Saturday, April 7.

Current interim UFC Lightweight Champion and winner of The Ultimate Fighter 13, Ferguson, is set to fight against two-time Combat Sambo World Champion and undefeated mixed martial arts fighter, Kunitskaya, for the UFC Lightweight Championship.

Admission to the viewing party will be priced at $25, and tickets will include two Budweiser Signature draft beers and complimentary VIP seating. BEER PARK also offers an in-house sports book. The rooftop bar and restaurant will show the fight on dozens of high-definition TVs throughout venue.

April 8 – 14

Jennifer Lopez: All I Have

Jennifer Lopez returns to Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino April 10 – 11, 13 – 14, 17 – 18 and 20 – 21. Expect to hear all of your favorite hits like “On The Floor,” “Jenny From The Block” and “Love Don’t Cost A Thing.”

With seven total costume changes, the production includes Lopez descending a Swarovski crystal encrusted staircase, catching the 6 Train and paying homage to her Latin roots all while singing and dancing for more than 90 minutes. Tickets start at $129 plus taxes and fees.

April 15 – 21

Sebastian Maniscalco – Stay Hungry Tour

Get ready to laugh when comedian Sebastian Maniscalco headlines The Colosseum at Caesars Palace April 15 at 8 p.m.

With a string of record-breaking sold out comedy appearances, a new top-ranked show on SiriusXM, and inclusion on Forbes’ 2017’s “The World’s Highest Paid Comedians,” Maniscalco is having an incredible year. People Magazine’s “The People’s Comedian” is hitting the road in 2018 with his new Stay Hungry Tour including a stop in Las Vegas. Tickets are priced from $39.50 plus taxes and fees.

Fans of “Dancing With The Stars” will want to check out Mirror Ball Champion Tony Dovolani’s moves when he guest stars in Chippendales beginning April 19.

In addition to hosting the show, Dovolani will be working with the production’s creative team to choreograph parts of the show in which he will be featured. Dovoloni’s limited engagement with the legendary Chippendales runs through May 27 at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Dovolani will also be giving back to those in need by donating a portion of his salary to The Tony Dovolani Foundation, which raises funds to support families that are facing the many challenges that come along with raising a child with special needs.

Earth Day at The LINQ Promenade

Explore The LINQ Las Vegas Map and The LINQ Promenade will go green this Earth Day weekend (April 21 – 22), showcasing sustainable art by Las Vegas artists, demos and pop-up shops all along the outdoor district throughout the weekend. The Sunday festival will conclude with a sustainable fashion show, and the High Roller observation wheel will be lit green.

Don’t miss your chance to see legendary singer Elton John in the last year of his residency at Caesars Palace. Elton’s show, “The Million Dollar Piano,” plays exclusively at The Colosseum and features the namesake piano, an engineering marvel displays more than 68 LED Yamaha video screens.

Elton John gets audiences on their feet with a set list of the iconic favorites like “Rocket Man,” “Benny and the Jets,” “Tiny Dancer” and “Crocodile Rock.” Catch Elton John April 28 – 29.

You’ll be on your feet dancing to songs like “Feel This Moment,” “I Know You Want Me,” “Back in Time” and “Give Me Everything.”

The Cookout On Tour

Things are heating up at Drai’s Beachclub April 27 with The Cookout on Tour featuring Devault, GG Magree and Noizu Parker. Take in the sun, views of the Strip and music. The 70,000-square-foot rooftop club at The Cromwell features cabanas and multiple pools.

Daybeats With Nina Sky

It might not be that warm where you’re from, but in Vegas, pool season is in full swing. Head to the GO Pool Dayclub at Flamingo Las Vegas for the Daybeats party featuring Nina Sky along with resident DJ Eric Forbes on April 28. Doors open at 9 a.m. There will be Coors Light bucket specials and special pricing on Grey Goose and Dom Perignon bottles from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The party also features life-size Connect Four, beer pong and cornhole.
