Here’s a Halloween joke for you:

Why don’t mummies have any friends?

Because they’re too wrapped up in themselves.

The spookiest time of the year is fast approaching and fortunately, Halloween in Las Vegas is far more entertaining than any monster-themed dad joke ever could be.

Get ready to put on your costume and Monster Mash your way over to the Las Vegas Strip. From all-ages events to grown-up drink specials, we’ve put together the creepiest, crawliest goodness in store this month.

The LINQ Promenade

Now an annual tradition, The LINQ Promenade is putting on five nights of frights and fun in the heart of the Strip, with ghoulish activities and entertainment for all ages.

Bring the whole family on Saturday, Oct. 27 or Sunday, Oct. 28 for TRIQ or TREAT from 2-6 p.m. Stores will be providing candy, while balloon artists and magicians entertain along The LINQ Promenade. On Saturday night, the High Roller Observation Wheel will light up in a delightfully Halloween-themed color scheme.

From Oct. 27 to Oct. 31, the Monster’s Ball stage show starts at the top of the hour, every hour from 4-7 p.m. at The LINQ Promenade’s fountain stage. Street buskers will perform at from 8:15-10:30 p.m. at 15 minutes after the hour.

And on the big day itself, Wednesday, Oct. 31, be sure to take selfies with the dozens of movie prop characters throughout the promenade.

On Saturday, Oct.27, X Burlesque comedian Nancy Ryan hosts The LINQ Promenade’s annual costume contest with $15,000 in cash on the line and prizes for best group costume and best individual costume. This one starts at 9 p.m. (registration from 6-8 p.m.) and is for guests 21 and older.

After taking in some of the other festivities on the promenade, stroll on over to Virgil’s Real Barbecue with your favorite guys and ghouls to share The Virgil’s Cauldron.

This one-gallon cocktail contains Skyy Vodka, a bleeding ice hand crawling out of the cauldron and a choice of “brew” flavors including strawberry, peach, grapefruit, blueberry and raspberry lemonade. The shareable magical concoction costs $46 and will be available Oct. 26 – Nov. 3.

O’Shea’s will keep the party vibe undying with drink specials like a $5 Ketel One “Bloody Orange” shot, $4 Guinness can and $8 Zombie Sailor cocktail made with Sailor Jerry and ginger beer, all weekend long.

Flamingo Las Vegas

Both Flamingo Las Vegas and The LINQ Hotel & Casino will feature a special Monster Margarita made with el Jimador tequila, Midori, lime juice and sweet and sour, as well as $6 Modelos and Coronas and $8 Witches Brew shots at their casino bars.
