Let’s be real. July Fourth in Las Vegas is all about the fireworks. Whatever culinary pyrotechnics that accompany the holiday are secondary to the main event in the sky. That being said, there’s no reason to miss out on delicious food and drinks. Spend the holiday in Vegas where you can dine on some of the best barbecue west of Texas, see superstars perform poolside and take in the fireworks show on the fabulous Las Vegas Strip.

View the Fireworks on the Strip

Caesars Palace fireworks

This year the Fourth of July falls on a Tuesday but the fireworks over the Strip will be held on Sunday, July 2, beginning around 9 p.m. Remember it’s best to find your favorite viewing spot early. Here are our top picks for the best places to enjoy the fireworks in Las Vegas.

The Sunday evening fireworks display takes place center-Strip so Caesars Palace is center stage for the best viewing opportunities. Visit the Spanish Steps in front of Caesars Palace to enjoy frozen fruit cocktails from the Mojito Hut plus awesome people watching.

Cool off watching the fireworks with a special Venus Night Swim at the Venus European Pool Lounge at Caesars Palace Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis. Tickets start at $99 and include two free drink tickets for a Tito’s Cocktail or Blue Moon. Call (702) 731-7280 or click here to grab tickets.

The High Roller takes you up in the sky for a bird’s eye view of the pyrotechnic action. Ride the world’s tallest observation wheel, located at The LINQ Promenade, and time your ride right to catch the fireworks show while you’re up in the sky, 550 feet above the Strip.

The Vortex at The LINQ Hotel & Casino offers a great all-in-one option to view Sunday’s fireworks display and enjoy a buffet-style dinner with open bar. Everything in one convenient location? Talk about the perfect salute to the American way! DJs will spin while you sip cocktails overlooking the Strip and munch on food selections from coastal regions of America. Grab your tickets now for this unique viewing party that begins at 7:30 p.m.

Catch the fireworks display from 460 feet above the Strip at the Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris Las Vegas. You’ll get to hang out on the observation deck for an hour, enjoy a glass of Champagne and get a souvenir photo for $85. Get your tickets today.

Get a wide-angle view of all the fireworks on the Strip at Voodoo Lounge, atop the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Voodoo Lounge will host a fireworks viewing party Sunday, July 2. Ticket packages include cocktails plus bottle service is also available at the outdoor tables, featuring a BOGO deal where guests can buy two bottles of New Amsterdam Vodka and get one free. Choose from regular vodka or flavors including red berry, orange and citrus. Here’s to you, Second of July!

Want to grab a bite to eat, but not miss the fireworks? There are plenty of restaurants with Strip views so you can grab some grub and catch the red, white and boom of the fireworks. Check out these locations:

  • Sip a glass of frosé at GIADA and enjoy the view of the middle of the Las Vegas Strip while dining on gourmet Italian treats from celeb chef Giada De Laurentiis.
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House at Harrah’s Las Vegas also has spectacular views via floor-to-ceiling windows and you can enjoy them with a side of USDA prime steaks. Yes please! The restaurant will offer a specialty menu all weekend long which includes a complimentary glass of Champagne.
  • Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas has a patio perfect for peeping at the sky when it’s time for the fireworks. If you want fireworks in your mouth, get the profiteroles for dessert. The chocolate sauce on these bad boys will make your taste buds squeal like the fireworks exploding in the sky.
  • Café Americano is already in the spirit with its patriotic name, though its menu is diverse and crosses many borders. Gaze upward at the fireworks show from the 24/7 restaurant’s patio, aka the Terraza, which has its own menu including the signature Cuban sandwich plus beer-brined chicken wings and breakfast served all day.
  • The patio at Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas is an ideal spot as well, but more on that below.

What events/fun things to do are happening on Tuesday the 4th?

    Hi David,
While part of the Strip’s fireworks took place yesterday, there will still be some ancillary fireworks displays at the outlying local casinos, which you should be able to view from the Strip. Beer Park at Paris still has specials through the 4th and is an awesome (and tasty!) people-watching spot as well.

    Happy 4th!
