Memorial Day weekend is a big deal in Las Vegas. It marks the unofficial start of summer and it’s a three-day holiday. You can bet the pool clubs and nightclubs will be packed and pulling out all the stops with appearances from the hottest DJs and celebrity guests. You’ll also find the top names in entertainment headlining the showrooms.

Start planning now, pack your bikini and your sunscreen and get ready to celebrate with 300,000 of your closest friends. Here’s what’s going on for Memorial Day in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Deals

Memorial Day is first and foremost all about honoring America’s service men and women and Caesars Entertainment is offering a special military discount during Memorial Day weekend. Veterans or active duty military who verify their identity through and book on can enjoy a 15 percent discount for future stays at any Caesars Entertainment property. Book between May 26 and May 29 for stay dates through 2017.

This Memorial Day, active duty and retired U.S. military members presenting valid I.D. can ride the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel at 550 feet, for free. In addition, that evening the wheel’s lights will be illuminated in red, white and blue.

Memorial Day Weekend Las Vegas Deals at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino

If you’re coming to Vegas for Memorial Day weekend and you’re looking for a good hotel deal, you can’t beat the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino’s Total Deal package. With Total Deal, you can eat, drink and stay for one all-inclusive price.

Get your sun and fun in at Flamingo Las Vegas’ GO Pool. The party is always going with live DJs all summer long. Book yourself a cabana, kick back and enjoy the long weekend. On May 26, it’s GO Fridays with JD Live. Enjoy the Day Beats party May 27 with DJs Koko and Bayati. GO Sunday on May 28 features Vegas Vibe and stick around for GO Monday on May 29 with DJ Tavo.

Drai’s Beach Club

Drai’s Beach Club at The Cromwell is one of the hottest pool parties in town and Memorial Day weekend will be scorching. G-Eazy and Adventure Club hit the pool on May 27 and Destructo takes over on May 28.

The party is always non-stop at The POOL at The LINQ. This pool is reserved for guests 21 and up. There’s always live DJ music and drink specials. Head to the REQ Room, an air conditioned cabana with two pool tables, shuffle board and a foosball table.

On May 28, The POOL hosts the MTN Dew Kickstart Poolside Pregame. Guests can sample Kickstart energy drink flavors and get special bonuses, upgrades and perks by interacting on social media. There will be a DJ, pool games, corn hole and fun inflatables to splash around with.

If you’re looking for a bit more of a mellow pool experience, grab a cabana or day bed at Venus European Pool Lounge at Caesars Palace and get ready to relax. Order drinks, food or a poolside massage. You can also enjoy European-style sunbathing in private comfort.

Las Vegas Nightclubs

If you’re lucky, you don’t have to work on Monday so there’s no excuse not to get out there and party. Las Vegas nightclubs are the place to do it.

Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris Las Vegas has DJ P-Jay on May 26 and Mix Master Mike from Beastie Boys on May 27.

Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell features a sizzling lineup of Future on May 26, Lil’ Wayne on May 27 and Wiz Khalifa with DJ Franzen on May 28.

Calvin Harris at OMNIA Nightclub - Memorial Day Weekend Las Vegas

Calvin Harris rocks OMNIA at Caesars Palace on May 26 with guest Generik. Martin Garrix and Justin Mylo take over on May 27. On Sunday night, Armin Van Buren will keep the party going.

Brunch is one of our favorite parts about the weekend and on Memorial Day, HEXX Kitchen + Bar at Paris Las Vegas is giving us a bonus brunch day on Monday, May 29.

Enjoy dishes like the cinnaroll waffle topped with cream cheese frosting, cinnamon and maple syrup, priced at $13.95 or a HEXX burger topped with American cheese, fried onions and bacon, served in a white chocolate bun, priced at $18.95.

Of course brunch needs to be paired with bottomless booze and HEXX has you covered. Sip bottomless mimosas for $23 per person. Additional morning cocktail offerings include HEXX’s signature Bloody Marys, including the colossal Bloody Mary made with organic basil-infused vodka and house-made Bloody Mary mix, and garnished with jumbo shrimp, an Alaskan King crab leg, bacon, beef stick, peppers and pickled vegetables, served in a mini-pitcher made for sharing, priced at $38.

Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, celebrates Memorial Day Weekend with several drink specials plus live entertainment on its Strip-side patio. Shawn Eiferman performs at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 25 and catch Justin Carder at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 26. Buckets of Dos Equis and Heineken are $21, and signature cocktails including the Vojito, featuring Devotion Black and Blue vodka, fresh berries, fresh mint and lime juice.

Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar at The LINQ Promenade is honoring all veterans and active duty military members 20 percent off with a military ID May 26 – 29.

Virgil’s Real Barbecue will stage a bar cart outside the restaurant, offering $7 tall cans of Pabst, Coors Light, Miller Light and Corona.

Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas will be celebrating Memorial Day weekend May 26 – 29 with live DJs, oversized yard games like Jenga and Connect Four, as well as plent of beer and food. Guests can indulge in more than 100 kinds of beer. Full menu selections will be available for purchase, including the Shock Top marinated bratwurst, made with Shock Top caramelized onions, sauerkraut and spicy grain mustard, priced at $10.95; the BBQ Burger, made with Goose Island candied bacon, cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce, onion rings and jalapeño slaw, priced at $9.95; and house-smoked barbecue ribs, dry rubbed and slow-smoked with an apricot glaze, priced at $19.95.

Jennifer Lopez is over at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino May 26 – 28 for her “All I Have” residency. You’ll be dancing along with her to hits like “Jenny From the Block,” “On The Floor” and “Love Don’t Cost A Thing.”

New Las Vegas show featuring Kendra Wilkinson and Jai Rodriguez

There’s a new show opening at Paris Las Vegas May 27. “Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man” features Kendra Wilkinson (“Kendra on Top,” “The Girls Next Door”) and Jai Rodriguez (“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”) and takes audiences on a hilarious and wild ride where no topic is taboo and the insider tips come straight from the source: a gay man.

Actor and comedian Bob Saget will have audiences laughing at Brooklyn Bowl at The LINQ Promenade on May 26. Fans know him from shows like “Full House” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” but he’s also an acclaimed Grammy-nominated stand-up comic.

Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with the trifecta of good times in Laughlin, NV (about a 90-minute drive from Vegas).

Harrah’s Laughlin will be hosting a beach party along the Colorado River on Saturday, May 27 with Tone Loc and Coolio. We’re already humming “Wild Thing,” “Funky Cold Medina” and “Gansta’s Paradise” in preparation. The concert is free and runs from 8 p.m. – midnight.

Stay for the whole weekend and enjoy fireworks over the Colorado River hosted by the City of Bullhead on May 28.
