ICEBAR, ICebar Baby

Be as cool as an Otter Pop… yes, that cool. Just like our favorite childhood popsicle, ICEBAR at The LINQ Promenade brings a new definition to cool. It’s open as an attraction for now (non-alcoholic drinks only), but you can still pose for the ‘gram with your big furry jacket and chill next to fun, Vegas-themed ice sculptures. The upbeat music livens up your experience too.

Cabana Cool

A pool cabana is a true game changer indeed. You’re only steps from the pool and you can beat the heat while retreating in an air-conditioned cabana. Some include overhead misters for cool, refreshing touch. For a quiet pool day, your best bet is the Soleil Pool at Paris Las Vegas. You’ll love the surrounding French garden vibes too.

GO Pool at the Flamingo - how to stay cool in the heat in Vegas

GO Pool at the Flamingo is all about the waterfall life.

Please Go Chasing Waterfalls

Don’t go chasing waterfalls, unless it’s the waterfalls at Flamingo GO Pool, that is. The lush, 15-acre GO Pool is one of our favorite pools in the whole city. The upbeat music and all the greenery makes you forget you’re in the desert. We’re ready for Vegas with a side of paradise, please!

GhiraRdelli Goodness

Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop at The LINQ Promenade – Chocolate lovers can enjoy a cold chocolatey treat at this popular San Francisco-based sweet shop. You can get a drink too so you don’t have to worry about anything melting all over your hands.

You can always go for the signature World Famous Hot Fudge Sundae (seen above), or try the new Gold Rush caramel sundae. It comes with vanilla ice cream topped with sea salt, caramel, almonds, whipped cream and a Ghirardelli white chocolate caramel square. Yum!

Gelato Goodness at Trevi

What can be better than house-made strawberry gelato? TREVI is popular for its delicious Italian fare, like its chicken marsala, brick oven fired pizzas and more. But the gelato alone is worth the trip. Located inside The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, this is the perfect spot for a much-needed shopping break. Plus, if you sit in the “patio” outside of the restaurant, you’ll have sweet views of The Forum Shop’s fountains.

Beat The Heat With A High Roller Ride

Stay cool with amazing views of the outdoors – a 360-degree, 550-feet-high view, that is! Board the iconic High Roller observation wheel at The LINQ Promenade for a relaxing ride in the sky. Inside each spacious air-conditioned cabin, you’ll get the luxury of enjoying the scenery, all without being in the sweltering heat. After your 30-minute ride, don’t forget to check out the funny swag at the gift shop.

Mini Golf That’s Scary Fun

Located inside Bally’s Las Vegas, The 10,000-square-foot Twilight Zone by Monster Mini Golf gives the right amount of spook. Inspired by the sci-fi drama from the late 1950s and early 1960s, this Vegas attraction puts a fun spin to your afternoon. The odd props peppered throughout the glow-in-the-dark, 18-hole golf course adds to the fun, along with arcade games, bowling lanes and more. We’re living in crazy times, so stepping into this other dimension is, strangely enough, a nice break.

PineappleS aplenty At GArden Of The Gods

Last but not least, your trip wouldn’t be complete without a drink out of a fresh pineapple. Head to Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis at Caesars Palace and order it just the way you like it – with or without alcohol. Either way, you’ll have a way more refreshing pool day with a pineapple in hand. Plus, with multiple pools to choose from at Garden of the Gods (including poolside spa services), you’ll never want to leave.

Don’t stop here – there’s always plenty more things to do in Las Vegas.

About The Author

I live for a crazy Vegas adventure, but not in ways you may think. Sure, our nightlife scene is all fun and dandy, but I love hitting up all the city's vegan spots, having staycations and catching shows by my favorite musical acts. Since I've ditched rainy Seattle 20+ years ago, I graduated from UNLV and covered Las Vegas hotel and entertainment articles for Vegas.com, the LA Times, Frommer's and our very own Total Vegas Blog. When I'm not writing, you'll find me hanging with my two girls, along with our shih-tzu and tiger cat.
