Getting hitched is a really big deal. That’s why the Vegas bachelor party before the wedding has to be the weekend of a lifetime.
Sure, you can have beer, entertainment and food in any city. But a bachelor party in Vegas takes everything to the next level — several levels at that. It’s simple: We do it big in Vegas. After all, we’re in a 24-hour city so you won’t have to worry about last call or the hype dying down before 2 a.m. Because we all know 2 a.m. is when the party really gets cracking.
Even if you’re looking for something more laid back and just want to bond with the bros, you’ll appreciate the finer things Vegas has to offer. Peep our guide: This round’s on us.
Get your groom on
Whether you’re the groom or best man, you have to look on point for the wedding. We’re here to get you there. Oww!
Qua Baths & Spa: Men’s Zone
Need to spiff up before all the wedding festivities? At Qua Baths & Spa inside Caesars Palace, you’re in for a treat. No need to worry about walking into an ultra-bright salon filled with ladies — there’s a reason why they call this the Men’s Zone. You and the crew can get an old-school hot lather and straight razor shave — the way it should be done. This barber shop has a unique touch: All of the barbers are dressed in suits.
count’s tattoo company
The worst thing you can do is get hitched and still have your ex’s name (or yikes – her face) tatted somewhere. Head to Count’s Tattoo Company inside Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. We like how it has the laid-back feel of a local tattoo shop. If you’re one of the lucky ones who doesn’t have to cover up a tattoo, score brownie points with the wifey and get something dedicated to her. Or a meaningful quote in another language. It’s your bod.
Fun fact: Danny “Count” Koker of History Channel’s “Counting Cars” (a reality TV show showcasing car restoration and customization) owns the shop.
Get your grub on
We know you’ve come to Vegas to party, but you’ll need a whole lot of fuel to keep the energy going. Plus, pounding four-plus cans of energy drinks may not be the healthiest idea.
Searsucker at Caesars Palace is a great spot to kick off the party, especially with OMNIA nightclub just steps away. The glazed chili and honey calamari steak is a popular appetizer. If you want to be bold, order the blistered shishito peppers. (We’re crossing our fingers you don’t get the hot one!) In addition to several meat options, there’s a vegan vegetable curry that herbivores and omnivores alike can enjoy.
Carlos ‘N Charlie’s
You better get your dance on at Carlos ‘N Charlie’s at Flamingo Las Vegas: The waiters sure do. And we’re sure you’ll be grooving to the music after you pound a 100-ounce Coors Light tower. The restaurant’s 34-ounce Big Mama frozen drink is sure to refresh your taste buds during the hot summer months. Wait… we’re supposed to focus on food for this section. Our bad. The food is just as exciting as the drinks. Choose from a variety of tacos, sopas, enchiladas, fajitas and even barbecue. Your guacamole is prepped table-side so you know it’s the real deal.
Gordon Ramsay steak
If you and the boys want to kick off the night on a sophisticated note, Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas is your best bet. We can talk about how good the menu is, but by the name alone you already know. What you will appreciate about this popular Vegas steakhouse is the atmosphere: It has a bar, a lounge and a sweet two-story dining space. Fancy that!
Guy Fieri’s El Burro Borracho
We may be partial by listing another Mexican cuisine restaurant, but you’ll thank us later. At El Burro Borracho inside Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, you’ll enjoy all-you-can-eat-and-drink tacos and margaritas starting at $35. And yep, you’re welcome.
Get your drink on
Now that we got you thinking about food, it only makes sense that drinks come right after that. Remember to drink responsibly because you have a long weekend ahead of you.
Nothing beats picnic table seating on the rooftop and this one’s in the center of the Strip. Throw in a vast beer selection, pool table and TVs and you’ve got yourself the perfect setup. Located at Paris Las Vegas, Beer Park has a wide selection of draft beer, bottled selections and large drink portions for all you heavyweights. If you’re a Bloody Mary kind of guy, Beer Park has a variety of those too.
The bar also offers plenty of barbecue-style food and its signature cheeseburger, which consists of American cheese, smoked onions, black pepper mayo and all the fixings.
Looking to kill time before OMNIA? Head to Alto Bar inside Caesars Palace. It has open seating and if luck’s on your side, you can snag a booth with its own built-in TV and sound. There’s also a private lounge space that can fit you and 30 of your closest friends. It comes with a 70-inch TV and comfortable couches. If the liquid courage hit you a little early, you can dance it out to live DJ music playing every weekend from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. Another bonus: You’re just a hop, skip and a jump away from the hotel’s massive race and sports book.
Looking for a drink recommendation? We like The Crown of The Gods, a lovely cocktail with Crown Royal Canadian whisky, lime syrup and blood orange liqueur, topped with an fresh orange twist and a Filthy Cherry.
Bar Crawl at the LINQ Promenade
Can’t think of where to drink? A bar crawl solves that problem fast. Walk through The LINQ Promenade and you’ll find several different bars, each with its own unique feel. Yard House even has a walk-up bar if you’re strapped for time. While you’re here, you can board the 550-foot-tall High Roller (the world’s tallest observation wheel), which offers its Happy Half Hour from noon to 1 a.m. daily. Tickets start at $40.
If you’re hanging out at The LINQ Promenade anyway, you might as well stop by Harrah’s Las Vegas next door. Go crazy at this Strip-side outdoor bar Carnaval Court. You’ll enjoy everything from flair bartender shows and live entertainment to plain old people watching. And who knows? Like these gentlemen pictured above, maybe some of your buddies will meet a pretty lady and score a date to the wedding.
MonteCristo Cigar Bar
Take the boys out and have a fine cigar at Montecristo Cigar Bar at Caesars Palace. To heighten your experience, you can enjoy a whiskey and cigar pairing. There are different sections that cater to your party’s size. We personally like the courtyard patio section in the back. You can also catch up on your favorite team on the video wall made up of 12 55-inch TV screens.
Get your show on
Plenty of bachelor hosts drag an unsuspecting groom-to-be to a gentlemen’s club. We’re not saying anything is wrong with that, but if you want a show that’s full of surprises take your buddy to a production show. It’s showtime.
ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace is not for the timid. Scratch that. Bring that timid guy. This Vegas show will take all that shyness away. Not only does this racy Vegas show include a sexy burlesque number by the gorgeous and talented Melody Sweets, you’ll see everything from aerial circus stunts to an award-winning, hip-hop influenced tap dancing performance.
See an X show
We’re not talking about the kind of X you may be thinking. Whether you’re checking out X Rocks at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, X Country at Harrah’s Las Vegas or X Burlesque at Flamingo Las Vegas, these beautiful and talented dancers groove to your favorite jams.
Get your play on
Since you have all day to kill before the wild nighttime festivities, we have the perfect itinerary to fill that gap. Remember to pack your sunblock, hat and shades. We got the rest covered.
gather round for golf
Fore! Golfing is perfect for bro-time bonding, and even if your exposure to golf only consists of Adam Sandler’s cult classic “Happy Gilmore,” doing a few rounds will do you some good. Popular golf courses in Vegas include Cascata and Rio Secco.
There’s also KISS by Monster Mini Golf at the Rio, where you can work on your putt-putting while rocking out to mix of famous and obscure KISS songs. Righteous…
Surf’s up, dude: Located at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s rooftop pool area, you can ride the wave at the Strip’s only freestanding wave machine, the Flowrider. Practice your kick flips, hang ten and other tricks in this popular Vegas summertime attraction. Even if you wipe out, no biggie — you have 30 minutes to do it all over again.
Calling all splash bros (hey, that can be your Vegas squad name)! We really do have the best pools in Vegas. Drai’s Beach Club at The Cromwell has live musical performances during the daytime, as well as the Flamingo GO Pool. Caesars Palace’s Garden of the Gods is another hot spot because there are so many pools to choose from.
For those staying at The LINQ, this 21-and-up pool has summer pool parties. We must warn you: They’re known to get really wild. We’re talking inflatable rubber duckies, live DJ music and party-til-the-sun-goes-down type of wild. Can’t decide? Get a better idea of our Vegas pools.
Get your club on
Wow, all those activities and we’re just now touching on clubs in Vegas? You better believe it. Find time to take a quick power nap, pregame and muster up all your energy to get ready for what you’ve been waiting for the whole time.
Vegas nightclubs are on a whole different level. Drai’s Nightclub features artists like Nas, T.I. and Chris Brown, while OMNIA Nightclub hosts the biggest names in EDM, such as Calvin Harris, Zedd, Martin Garrix and Steve Aoki. We’re not saying your clubbing days have to come to an end after marriage; we’re just saying to celebrate your upcoming day with your boys in style.
Tip: If you’re staying at Caesars Palace, flash your room key and you’ll get complimentary entry to OMNIA Nightclub on Thursday and Sunday. Check out our foolproof Vegas nightclub guide so you’re not stuck at the door.
Get your sleep on… or just keep the party going
After a wild weekend (or week for you real bad boys), you’ll want to stay in one of these stellar Vegas suites.
Take one look at the decor and you’ll see the Julius Executive Suite at Caesars Palace fits the style of a classy bachelor party. You can talk about the weather, the news or… who are we kidding? You can recount all of your crazy Vegas experiences you shared in a span of 24 hours.
The LINQ hotel
Stay here and the pool party never has to end. The LINQ Hotel & Casino has a Cabana Room that includes a patio that leads directly to the pool. The cocktail servers even come up to your patio to take your drink and food orders. Talk about living the life. While the pool isn’t open all night, you can still chill outdoors until the sun comes up. Book any room at The LINQ and you’ll have the luxury of requesting in-room board games. How does Twister with all your boys sound?
All-inclusive stay at Rio
If you’re looking for a place that offers everything under one roof, Rio’s all-inclusive hotel deal is up your alley. Book a minimum of two nights and your stay includes all-you-care-to-drink and eat specials. This includes the pool, VooDoo nightclub and the buffet. And no, we’re not making this up. In fact, we’re curious what took Vegas so long to offer an all-inclusive package. This deal is only valid until the end of May, so book your all-inclusive Rio hotel package ASAP.
(On a side note – the way these palm trees are positioned reminds us of the cover of a very popular gangsta rap album. Photo inspiration, anyone?)
A couple friendly tips
So boys, it looks like you’re almost ready to head to Vegas for your bachelor party of a lifetime. Before you go, we want to leave you with a couple of tips:
- Know when to go. Holidays are busy, so try to avoid those super-crazy weekends.
- Day drinking is more hardcore than night drinking. That sun will do it for you. Stay hydrated. We can’t stress that enough.
- Know the kind of vibe you’re looking for. Do you want an all-out bro-fest (like “Old School” or “The Hangover” kind of epic) or something a lot more subtle? This will help guide your weekend with ease. Go wild, but not wake-up-with-regret kind of wild.
- Watch out for each other. Who are we kidding? You’re going to have a wild night, even if you’re planning a low-key weekend. If you plan on drinking and hotel hopping, catch a cab, ride share or have a designated driver. Remember, you have an upcoming wedding to attend!
