Get Ready: It’s Already Vegas Pool Season 2019

ICYMI: It was straight up SNOWING in Vegas. We’re talking the real deal, not the flimsy flurries or hail. If any of you follow Vegas peeps, you would have seen everything from decked out snowmen to snow angels and a bunch of proud, snowy selfies (guilty!).

That was two weeks ago.

Now, we’re on our way back to where we belong: Sunny skies with a light breeze, with brag-worthy temperatures ranging in the 70s. How is this real life? Simple. It’s Vegas. And guess what? Vegas pool season has already begun.

If you plan on visiting Sin City to escape your cold weather, we don’t blame you one bit. From here on out, it’s all about sun, fun and choosing the atmosphere fit for you. Whether you want a relaxing day by the pool or are ready to dance the day away to live music.

Vegas Pool Season 2019 Guide

Flamingo GO Pool Las Vegas - Now open for pool season

Jamaica? Nah. We’re center Strip. Photo courtesy of Flamingo Las Vegas.

Flamingo Las Vegas: GO Pool and Beach Cub Pool

Why we love it: You’ll feel like you’re in a tropical paradise, right in the heart of the Strip. On one side, you can enjoy water slides at Beach Club Pool’s family-friendly pool. On the other side, you’re free to party as wild as you please at the 21-and-older GO Pool. Either way, you’ll be splashing under the sun having the time of your life.

The deets: GO Pool is personally one of this blogger’s favorites because she got to see the one and only R&B queen, Mýa in 2017. Since then, GO Pool has welcomed many hot headliners, including Sugar Ray, Tinashe and Sisqó, to name a few. This year, you’ll catch popular artists like Ginuwine, Bow Wow, Flo Rida and Ma$e. Throughout the summer season, the pool offers live DJ music most days of the week from 9 a.m. to noon.

Drink specials include the following: $5 off beer buckets; $5 off specialty pitchers; $150 bottles; $500 bottles of Dom Perignon and $1,000 Dom Perignon Magnums.

Las Vegas pool at Caesars Palace - Garden of the Gods

Caesars Palace Las Vegas: Garden of the Gods Pool

Why we love it: Other than the fact it has seven pools to choose from, we can’t help but fall in love with the Garden of the God’s stunning architecture seen throughout the sprawling pool area. Our favorite spot? Sitting on top of the steps while in the water, located center stage at Temple Pool (seen above). We could relax here all day, every day.

The deets: Garden of the Gods pool has several different pool experiences, whether you’re looking for something more family friendly, secluded or a strictly 21-and-older crowd. Wherever you choose to roam, there are several loungers to park your belongings. We tend to move ours wherever we go because we love experiencing all the different pool vibes. While you’re here, splurge and get yourself fresh juice out of a picture-worthy pineapple or coconut. You’ll be replenishing your thirst, all while flexin’ for the ‘gram.

Neptune Pool is already open. The other six pools open on Tuesday, April 2.

Harrah's Las Vegas Pool - perfect for those looking for a relaxing Las Vegas pool scene

We could chill here all day, fam. Courtesy of Harrah’s Las Vegas.

Harrah’s Las Vegas

Why we love it: Just one look tells you why — it’s simple. You won’t lose your friends here because you can see everything at a glance. We love how there are loungers lining the swimming pool, as well as some pool loungers in the water for that extra special sun basking treat.

The deets: This pool definitely has a more relaxed, chill vibe than its party-hearty cousins (Drai’s and GO Pool, for instance) but you’ll still feel in the mix. Listen to live DJ music every weekend. After Memorial Day weekend (May 27), you can enjoy live DJ music Thursday through Saturday, as well as Monday.

Influence Pool at The LINQ offers free admission to anyone 21 or older.

The LINQ Las Vegas: Influence Pool

Why we love it: This pool welcomes everyone free of charge, as long as you’re at least 21. That means you don’t need a silly room key, the not-so-slick “piggy back” method getting in (we know you’re not really with them) or anything else that requires you to be extra. Plus, the themed parties and live entertainment keep the vibe going.

The deets: Like we mentioned earlier, there’s no reason to sneak in to this pool — if you’re 21 you’re good to go. Whether you want to relax on one of the pool chaises or make new friends and play games in the climate-controlled tent, Influence Pool feels more like all those fun backyard BBQ pool parties you remember. If you really want to stay here during your entire vacay, you’re in luck:

The suite cabana rooms all have personal entry and cocktail service directly from their patios. (Say whaaat?) Guests staying in these rooms can also enjoy the following discounts: 50 percent off all bottle service; 25 percent off all beer; 25 percent off all cocktails; 25 percent off retail items and 25 percent off all non-alcoholic items.

The pool’s programming includes the following:

  • Friday Night Live: Live acoustic acts with drink specials, poolside (starting in May from 5 – 8 p.m.).
  • Tropical House Saturdays: High-energy pool party featuring live DJ music, champagne showers, booty shaking contests and other games.(starting every Saturday, with the first one May 25).
  • Boozy Sunday: Brunch fare with bottomless mimosas, bloody marys, draft beers and Michelada beer, as well as a live DJ set (starting every Monday after Memorial Day weekend),
  • Two for Tuesday: Live DJ set and buy one, get one free cocktails, beer and bottles for all locals and Las Vegas industry employees (every Tuesday starting in May),
Vegas pool season is officially underway at Planet Hollywood's Scene Pool Deck

It’s your pool party. You set the scene. The Scene Pool Deck. Photo courtesy of Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Planet Hollywood Resort And Casino: the Scene Pool Deck

Why we love it: We got to surf on the Strip’s only FlowRider wave machine and it was a gnarly experience. We loved how the pools (one designated for families, the other for the 21 and up crowd) are only steps away, making it easy to relax after practicing our Hang 10s… or more like wipe outs.

The deets: If you’re looking for a wild daytime concert party with thousands of people, this is not your place. But if you want a fun party on a much smaller scale, this laid-back pool is for you. That means you’ll have more time for Insta-worthy pictures (like in front of postcard-themed photo walls or brightly-accented cabanas). These are just a few of the events you can experience here (come back for more specifics):

  • Live DJ music (Tuesday through Saturday)
  • Foosball Fridays (or other game-related activities, like cornhole)
  • A Memorial Day barbecue
  • FlowRider competitions (in June)
  • Live concerts (in June, July and August)
  • Mexican Independence Celebration Day (September)
  • A braiding station
  • Dive-in movie nights, complete with inflatable beds

Note: Planet Hollywood’s neighboring properties, Paris Las Vegas is open for pool season, while Bally’s Las Vegas has an opening date of late April due to renovations.

Rio Las Vegas All-Suite Hotel & Casino: VooDoo Pool

Why we love it: Sometimes, it’s nice to take a break off the Strip. While VooDoo Pool is not too far from the action, you still feel like you’re in another city completely. The waterfalls also add a nice touch.

The deets: Rio Las Vegas All-Suite Hotel & Casino always has fun programming — last winter it hosted its first holiday lights event. Now, the fun continues but with much warmer weather. Enjoy $100 bottomless drink specials to get you in the pool party mood.

Living your best Las Vegas life at Drai's BeachClub pool

The Cromwell: Drai’s BeachClub

Why we love it: Party. Of. The. Year. Daytime edition.

The deets: If you’re looking to get your groove on while famous DJs or artists take the stage, this is your place. If you’re looking for a 21-and-up nightlife feel on a sunny afternoon, this is your place. And if you’re all about relaxing while admiring the best rooftop views… you catch our drift. Drai’s Beachclub is a favorite among many, simply for delivering that club life atmosphere at a much earlier hour. If you have the energy to do both (don the swimwear by day, get glitzy for Drai’s Nightclub by night), we commend you. You are living Vegas to the fullest.

About The Author

I live for a crazy Vegas adventure, but not in ways you may think. Sure, our nightlife scene is all fun and dandy, but I love hitting up all the city's vegan spots, having staycations and catching shows by my favorite musical acts. Since I've ditched rainy Seattle 20+ years ago, I graduated from UNLV and covered Las Vegas hotel and entertainment articles for, the LA Times, Frommer's and our very own Total Vegas Blog. When I'm not writing, you'll find me hanging with my two girls, along with our shih-tzu and tiger cat.

  2. Jeannie Garcia

Yes, all pools typically open after spring begins! You’ll be good. See you at the pool!

  3. Nancy

Is pool open for kids at the linq hotel

  4. Michelle (GlobalTravelHacks)

I’ll be there Thurs Mar 28th to Mon Apr 1st. I’m all about the pools especially in the evening where I can get into the water without sunscreen. Can you recommend what pools I ought to go to Thurs, Fri and Sat late afternoon till nights and for Sunday day till evenings. I’m needing some good Instagram worthy pics too. Thank you!

Hi! Flamingo’s GO Poo usually hosts nighttime concerts but we’re still waiting on the schedule. Drai’s hosts night swims every Tuesday during the summer season and usually has a famous musical act. Enjoy!

  6. Jeannie Garcia

Hello! It’s a 21-and-older pool BUT guests at The LINQ can take their kids to the Flamingo right next door. The Flamingo Beach Club pool is nice and tropical and even comes with water slides. Hope this helps!

  7. Amanda

I need to reserve a daybed for June 12th. I have emailed twice in the past 2 months but haven’t received a response yet. How do I reserve one?

  8. Jess

We will be at Bally’s 4/17-4/21… the pool is closed for renovations??? Can we swim at the other properties ??

  9. Kristine McKenzie

Hi Amanda – Which pool are you trying to reserve a daybed at?

  10. Kristine McKenzie

Hi Jess – As far as we know, there are not renovations going on at the Bally’s pool. If for some reason there are, you will be able to swim at other Caesars properties, including Paris Las Vegas, which is right next door.

  11. Hello, Just want to confirm that If I stay at any Caesars property, I can go to any one of their pools is that correct? So -Stay at Ballys but use Flamingo, or Caesars pool? Thankyou! 🙂 I’m so excited about our trip in May.

  12. Kristine McKenzie

Hi Jennifer – Yes, you will be able to use any Caesars pool. Keep in mind though if you have children, they would not be able to go to the 21 and older pool at the LINQ. The Flamingo is a great family pool option.

  13. Is Venus no longer toptional/European?

  14. Kristine McKenzie

Hi Steve – No, Venus pool is no longer a European pool.
