With pool season around the corner, we gotta ask: What’s your pool vibe?

Are you all about sipping your drink with a tiny umbrella? Or are you trying to kick it like there’s no tomorrow? Or, do you want to unleash your wild side by surfing on a wave machine or zipping down water slides?

In Vegas, there’s a pool for all that.

Whether you want to lounge all day in peace, rage at a party with thousands of other party-goers or bring out your inner kid, dive into one of these Las Vegas pools and you’re good.

the Party Animal

Where to party: Drai’s Beach Club
Best time: Open 11 a.m. daily, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the peak party times.

Where there’s a party, there’s a way. And frankly, you’re the way. That why you belong at Drai’s Beach Club. Drai’s goes hard every weekend. We love the whole concept of dayclubbin’. Instead of partying until 5 in the morning, here you’ll be dancing just as much and be done by dinnertime. The rooftop pool club also offers Swim NIght every Tuesday throughout the summer.

Aside from swaying to live DJ-spun music, you can also catch performances by hip-hop, rock and R&B artists. Nelly just performed at a recent Swim Night. Check Drai’s special events calendar for the latest concert schedule.

The Concert junkie

Where to rock out: GO Pool Dayclub at Flamingo Las Vegas
Best time: Open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Get here early to enjoy morning drink specials before the shows kick off (typically around noon).

Speaking of concerts, GO Pool at Flamingo Las Vegas knows how to put on a show. Just like Drai’s, GO Pool has celebrity guests all through summer with its Day Beats concert series. GO Pool’s already hosted Sisqo, Jay Sean, Ja Rule and Aaron Carter. Up next is R&B sweetheart Mya on Saturday, June 3. If you’re here later this month, you can catch Sugar Ray during GO Pool’s Night Jams Concert on Sunday, June 25 at 7 p.m. See the full schedule here.

the Chill & mellow type

Where to chill: Flamingo’s Beach Club Pool
Best time: Beach Club At Night is every Wednesday from 7 p.m. – midnight. Regular hours are from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily.

Join us every Wednesday for our #BCNight swim party 7pm 12am. Drink specials, entertainment and more! #FlamingoVegas

If you’re thinking, hold up — I’m just trying to chill, it’s all good. For laid-back, low-key atmosphere, head to Flamingo’s Beach Club Pool At Night every Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. – midnight. You’ll get a taste of Vegas nightlife without the strict dress code, long lines and expensive bottle service. You can just be yourself. Your chill self. Play ping pong, giant Jenga, beer pong or sit around one of the fire pits. There’s a live DJ spinning to heighten the mood and if you’re up for a moonlight dip, the pool is open. And since we’re looking forward to 80-degree nights, why not chill with the flamingos like these ladies?

The Thrill Seeker

Hang ten and test your board skills right in the heart of the #LasVegas strip! #Flowrider

Where to surf: Planet Hollywood’s rooftop pool
Best time: Open daily, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. We say it’s best to get your surf on either way before or after lunch — let the food settle.

Surf’s up and ride the waves, dude! We may not have the Pacific Ocean, but that doesn’t stop us from doing a Hang 10. Flowrider at Planet Hollywood is for you. Here you’ll find the Strip’s only wave machine. This means you can fine tune your sweet surfing or bodacious boogie boarding skills. Each Flowrider sesh is half an hour so even if you wipe out the first couple of times, don’t fret. It’s all tubular. You’ll have more turns to get it right.

The Kid at Heart

Where to play: The LINQ Pool
Best time: Open daily, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Let’s face it. We’re all goofballs. But you friend, are the biggest one. And we can’t hate on that. You bring out the fun in everyone. We wish we can keep up with your energy and thirst for life. That’s why the 21-and-up LINQ Pool is your soulmate. Not only can you play adult-sized Jenga here, there’s an entire REQ Room dedicated to games. This air-conditioned cabana is open to everyone and has pool tables, shuffle board, foosball and more.

For more playful Vegas pool activities, head next door to Flamingo Beach Club. They have water slides that take fun-in-the-sun pool days to the next level.

The Pampered prince (or princess)

A post shared by Azento (@azentoo) on

Where to treat yourself: Caesars Palace’s Garden of the Gods
Best time: Daily, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. The best time for pampering is at your discretion. Early mornings are generally the quietest times.

It’s your pool day and you can cry if you want to. This one goes out to all the pampered princesses and princes who expect nothing short of spectacular. That’s why no other pool will do other than Caesars Palace’s Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis. Rent a cabana. Drink fruit out of a legit pineapple. Bask in the sun as cool misters refresh your body. With seven different pools to choose from, you choose your destiny. Take pampering to the next level by getting a massage from Qua Baths & Spa, right in one of the cabanas. The world is yours, baby.

You can also get some serious people-watching in. And hey, you might even stumble upon your future prince or princess-to-be. Who needs a dating app, right?

The Athlete

Where to practice: Bally’s Blu Pool
Best times: Open daily from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. If you’re looking for an intense workout, avoid going in the middle of the day. The heat is intense.

Calling all Michael Phelps wanna-bes: You still got three years ‘til the 2020 Olympics in Japan. And what better place to tone those biceps and perfect that butterfly stroke than Bally’s Olympic-sized lap pool? Get this – Bally’s has the only deep-end pool on the Strip. Twelve feet deep, to be exact. And hey, if you’re more a tennis buff, Bally’s has that too. It’s the ideal activity before jumping into the cool, blue sparkling pool.

The Escape Artist

Where to hide out: Paris Las Vegas’ Soleil Pool
Best time: Open daily, 10 a.m. –  7 p.m. The best time? Whenever you can slip away!

You just want to get away from it all. You’re not about the hype. You’re so about the “Me” time. And hey, we get it. We all need to unwind from the craziness and leave our worries behind. Your best bet would be the Soleil pool at Paris Las Vegas. The rooftop pool area is calmer than most, but you can still vibe out to live DJ music throughout the summer. The view is real swanky too:  Enjoy a unique view of the Eiffel Tower, all while sipping on a frozen spiked lemonade. Relax, be free, be yourself because that’s what it’s all about.

About The Author

I live for a crazy Vegas adventure, but not in ways you may think. Sure, our nightlife scene is all fun and dandy, but I love discovering all of the city's vegan options, relaxing in hotel rooms and seeing the best concerts - no matter how big or small the crowd may be. Since I've ditched the rain in Seattle two decades ago, I graduated from UNLV and covered Las Vegas entertainment articles for Vegas.com, the LA Times and our very own Total Vegas Blog. When I'm not writing, you'll find me spending time with my husband, toddler and two pets.
