Expanding the Empire: Two Legends Join Together for One Dynamic Enterprise

By Allison Duck

Caesars PalaceWhen two giants of the casino industry come together to produce a company even greater than the sum of its storied parts, the guests are the real winners. Caesars Entertainment and Eldorado Resorts joined forces in July 2020 to become the largest and most diversified gaming company across the U.S., with 55 of the most desirable destinations spanning the globe. Trailblazing pioneers led the Caesars Entertainment empire to expand into the largest casino-entertainment company in the U.S., and its ever-growing list of amenities is astounding.

This union of industry leaders amplifies the companies’ respective legacies. Gaming pioneer Bill Harrah’s innovative vision, which led him to open his first Reno bingo parlor in 1937, blends together with the attentive, family-style service Donald Carano modeled for his employees when he opened Eldorado Resort Casino in 1973.

The new Caesars Entertainment brings the best of each company’s legacy to the table—or to the slots, if that’s your pleasure. While the Caesars brand has always been synonymous with service-driven excellence and opulent, one-of-a-kind experiences, this merger of missions brings the deeplyrooted family values of Eldorado to the forefront. This union offers guests unparalleled, personalized attention. Caesars Entertainment’s dedication to fun and entertainment remains paramount. Tom Reeg, CEO of Caesars Entertainment, Inc., calls it “a transformative merger that makes us the premier leader in gaming and hospitality.”

Entertainment Revolution

Eldorado fans, if this is your first time visiting a Caesars Entertainment resort, you are in for an adventure. These first-class destinations earned their reputation as cherished escapes, with only the best amenities, the finest in worldclass dining, the most renowned accommodations and groundbreaking entertainment.

As it grew into the mega-resort it is today, it added new properties like Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace and The LINQ Hotel + Experience. Its new entertainment venues like The Colosseum (2003) attracted superstar headliners such as Elton John, Cher and Celine Dion—helping Caesars forever change the entertainment landscape of Las Vegas.

Whether you’re planning to see Usher in his summer 2021 residency at The Colosseum, craving comedy from Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club or teeing it up at Northern Nevada’s first Topgolf Swing Suite at Silver Legacy Resort Casino, options for entertainment and recreation abound. Celebrity chefs including Giada De Laurentiis and Gordon Ramsay headline the Empire’s roster with their culinary prowess, along with memory makers like the Forbes Five Star-winning Restaurant Guy Savoy.

Meanwhile, part of Eldorado’s massive appeal is in the family-forward approach that started in the kitchens of its restaurants. There, the Carano family brought their secrets of authentic Northern Italian cuisine to the forefront with handmade pastas and other old-world favorites, crafted with care at restaurants such as the Food Network-hailed home of the country’s best pasta, La Strada, at Reno’s Eldorado Resort Casino.

This fusion of food-forward brands means your palate will be dazzled like never before.
